Vanuit Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria, vertrekken we dagelijks om 10:30 en 13:30 uur op een 2,5 uur durende excursie langs de zuidwestkust van het eiland, waar we op zoek gaan naar dolfijnen en andere walvisachtigen in hun natuurlijke habitat. Ons schip, Spirit of the Sea, biedt plaats aan 97 gasten en heeft een grote glazen bodem, wat een zeldzame kans biedt om de onderwaterwereld te observeren vanuit het comfort van de boot. Onze missie is om een respectvolle en ethische wildlife-watching ervaring te bieden. Met alle benodigde vergunningen van de Canarische overheid, zijn we toegewijd om te werken op een manier die het welzijn van de dieren voorop stelt, ervoor te zorgen dat alle waarnemingen op een verantwoorde manier worden uitgevoerd. Het zien van dolfijnen, en soms zelfs walvissen, in hun natuurlijke omgeving zorgt voor een krachtige en onvergetelijke ervaring. An amazing experience with an incredible crew! The ride was quite choppy, so I highly recommend taking motion sickness medication beforehand—nearly half the passengers were seasick! We found that the side seats were the best spot to sit. Don't worry about missing out, though, as you can see the dolphins from every angle. The crew was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always smiling. They worked tirelessly to keep the ocean clean by picking up trash along the way, while also doing everything they could to comfort sick passengers. A few tips: hold on tight, keep a close eye on your kids, and don’t put your bags on the floor, as water did splash into the boat at one point (which was actually pretty fun!). Seeing a whole pod of dolphins jumping and swimming right next to us was absolutely amazing. To top it off, the crew let us swim for 5 to 10 minutes before heading back to the dock. Thank you, Spirit of the Sea!
Absolutely fantastic, worth the money. Unfortunately our hotel wasn't in the area for pick up and drop off. But we got the taxi's easily enough.
Very nice experience. This was the second time we traveled on the same boat. Last time was two years ago. We were lucky to see the dolphins early on the trip. I also saw flying fish. Reach even a stop to swim at the end. Totally magical trip. Very nice staff on the boat. 10/10
Really nice trip! It was a bit windy and waves, but the staff was super helpful ! They helped you get around on deck, and if you where seasick, they helped you! And then! You saw a lot of dolphins!
We took the cruise for a day, and since we did not see any dolphins, we returned the next day for free. The only downside is that we did not have a choice of schedule; otherwise, everything was perfect, the dolphins were indeed present.
We had a really great time on the ship; the captain and his crew were nice and helpful. We saw a shark, a sea turtle, many flying fish, and a lot of dolphins. Simply indescribably beautiful. The Spirit of the Sea is a well-preserved catamaran with a sun-protected lower deck and an open upper deck. There are free drinks and a small selection of alcoholic beverages and snacks for a moderate fee. Everything was clean and well-maintained. This was our third time on this tour, and it certainly won't be the last!
Recommended trip to the Atlantic with a competent crew. There was also a warning about the strong seas, which unfortunately some ignored and let it go through their heads. The only negative was the long wait for departure.
Excellent from pick up to drop off, use Viator every year for the same trip for the last 11 years. Will use again next year.

Great trip!! We saw a lot of dolphins and the crew was really nice and helpful. The seas were quite rough and the crew did everything they could to make everyone feel well.
