Ervaar het WeWhale Denia-ochtendavontuur, een 4-uur durende walvis- en dolfijnentocht aan boord van onze elektrische zeilboot, 'El Som Mar.' Deze intieme reis, voor maximaal 10 gasten, omvat een praktische masterclass door onze walvisachtigengids over walvissen en dolfijnen en het belang van de kust van Denia. U kunt zelfs dolfijn- en walviscommunicatie ervaren met behulp van onze hydrofoon om walvis- en dolfijngeluiden te horen voor het geval ze dichtbij zijn. Tot de mogelijke ontmoetingen die we kunnen hebben behoren zes stabiele soorten walvisachtigen: gewone vinvissen, tuimelaars, potvissen, langvingrienden, rissodolfijnen en gewone dolfijnen. Verder maak je deel uit van onze actieve inspanningen voor het behoud van de oceaan, waaronder het verwijderen van afval en het redden van dieren in het wild. Gratis drankjes en snacks van partners die onze waarden delen, zijn ook bij deze reis inbegrepen. Onder begeleiding van onze maritieme gids aan boord neemt u deel aan een praktische masterclass om meer te leren over walvisachtigen en de betekenis van de kust van Denia als de belangrijkste locatie voor het spotten van walvissen en dolfijnen aan de Valenciaanse kust. Je verkent het zeereservaat van Cabo de San Antonio. Dit gebied, bekend als het Reserva Marina del Cabo de San Antonio, is aangewezen als zeereservaat vanwege de rijke mariene biodiversiteit. De wateren herbergen verschillende soorten vissen, koraal en ander zeeleven. Onze crew legt u alles uit over de biodiversiteit. Geniet tijdens de excursie van gratis drankjes en snacks, mogelijk gemaakt door partnerschappen met gelijkgestemde projecten die onze toewijding delen om een positieve impact te maken.

It's been great. A committed guide who really cares about the sea and its inhabitants. She had plenty of time and we saw a lot of dolphins. No whales, but that wasn't because she didn't do her best. It was not commercially designed and that was very nice for a change.
A great experience, we didn't see any dolphins or whales, but Sofia made sure we had a fantastic time highly recommended.
Recommended experience. The owner, Sofía, is delightful and captivates you with her explanations; she is passionate about her work. One must be aware that it is a lottery to see fin whales; we were lucky that just as we were returning, we saw two, and Sofía did not hesitate to extend the excursion so we could enjoy the sighting.
On 4th october 2025 I had the great pleasure to make a 4 hours trip with 6 other participants and our captain Sophia. Even though we had been advised that the probability to see wildlife was very low, we had such a great time. Sophia was our adorable host, who provided us not only with interesting informations about her passion for wildlife but also with nice fresh fruit and drinks. Sliding on the waves silently with a sailing boat you merely hear is absolutely magic. The weather was fabulous as well. All the ingredients to have four hours for great relaxation and stress relief. We did not see dolphins or whales but observed birds and some jumping fish. For me this was a fantastic adventure and I'll be back in May or June to meet the dolphins 🐬 and 🐋. Thank you Sophia for your kindness and sharing your skills with us. ⚘️🙏
Despite the white cups at sea and no fish spotted but a very nice sunny day it was a blissful soothing boat trip.

A magnificent and absolutely relaxing experience. The silence with which we glided through the sea, just the splash of the dolphins around us. Sophia the best boss and her assistant Norma formed a perfect team constantly watching us. Recommended 100%

The guide was great and authentic. I also enjoyed the (short) time when we were sailing and otherwise the silent working of the electric engine. However almost nothing to see even having spend 4h on the sea (perhaps not the right season or time of day?). Also, ten people on such a small boat is certainly too much. This type of yacht is build for maximum 2 guests. For the price I had imagined at least some luxury / space.
Thank you for your feedback and for acknowledging the professionalism of our guide as well as the comfort of our silent electric engine. We understand that not encountering many animals can be disappointing, but as we operate 100% respectfully with wild whales and dolphins in their natural habitat, sightings can never be guaranteed. Regarding the number of guests: our vessel is licensed and certified for 12 passengers, and we always stay below this limit for safety and comfort. The yacht is designed for small-group wildlife experiences, which are very different from private luxury charters in both purpose and layout. If you would have liked to book to boat for yourself, we also offer this option. Our focus is on authentic, low-impact encounters with marine life, not on providing a luxury cruise — and we are transparent about this in our trip descriptions. We hope this clarifies the nature of our tours and the values behind them.
It's a great experience. Both the comfort of the boat, as well as the sea area of Dénia, but above all the kindness and interest of Sophia that the experience was perfect. It was not easy with three children aged 8.6 and 3, but we were almost 5 hours in the sea and it was all spectacular. In the final part of the tour we enjoyed many dolphins jumping next to the boat....incredible!!!
