TravelWellCR haalt u 's ochtends vroeg op, vanaf 6:00 uur, bij uw hotel in het centrum van San José, om u direct mee te nemen op een avontuur naar de majestueuze Poás-vulkaan. Onderweg gaan we op zoek naar luiaards in hun natuurlijke habitat en zetten we zo uw vulkanische ervaring voort. Inclusief: - Vervoer heen en terug vanaf het hotel of de luchthaven: Reis comfortabel en veilig in toeristisch vervoer met airconditioning. Inclusief ophalen bij uw hotel en terugbrengen naar het hotel of de luchthaven aan het einde van de tour. - Toegang tot het Poás-vulkaan nationaal park

Vanuit het comfort van uw hotel in San José rijden we richting Alajuela. We doorkruisen het beroemde Mango Park met zijn prachtige bevolking en hun gebruiken en zeer originele tradities. Later gaan we op zoek naar het prachtige diertje "de luiaard". We komen aan bij de Poas-vulkaan, een van de grootste actieve kraters ter wereld. Hier brengen we twee uur door in dit prachtige nationale park vol verhalen. Naast het bewonderen van de actieve krater bezoeken we ook de prachtige lagune van Botos... U kunt genieten van het spectaculaire landschap en als u dichter bij uw bestemming komt, staat er een heerlijk ontbijt voor u klaar, bereid door een Costa Ricaanse familie! Avontuur gegarandeerd voor elk publiek. Als u uw koffers al heeft ingepakt en na de tour naar huis moet, kunt u kosteloos worden afgezet op de internationale luchthaven Juan Santamaria.
Onderweg naar de vulkaan Poas bezochten we een koffieplantage, waar we koffie van topkwaliteit konden proeven.
We bezochten ook het prachtige Botos-meer (oude krater) op het hoogste punt van de Poas-vulkaan.

They was timely and informative, seemed liked we had plenty of time at each stop. The volcano we hit along a very good day, clear able to see real well. Transportation clean . No 5stars because it seemed a little off.
The guide was very nice and dedicated. Communication via whatsapp in advance great. Unfortunately, it was too little time at the volcano and too much time tasting coffee and then another stop at a tourist market. We would rather have enjoyed more time at Poas Park and explored the area.
Tour operator did not show up to get us. They had earlier messaged us to advise of 6AM pick up time. And of course billed us for cost of tour. We waited 2 hours. Made many phone calls , unanswered. Sent text and email messages, no reply. Called Viator, they also tried to call them, with no success. We were able to book another tour with a local Costa Rican agency, that was great. This agency told us that the Viator tour operator is very unreputable. Now we are awaiting refund.
The trip itself was ok and the tour guides were not bad, the stop at the coffee plantation was good, and I ended up buying some good coffee. The big problem is that the main show did not show! There was no volcano or lake - all hiding behind thick clouds.
Volcan Poás is an obligatory experience for anyone visiting San Jose. I personally recommend this tour because Daniel's enthusiasm and active interventions really elevated the experience and made it that much more enjoyable as his commentary and insights blended perfectly with the many activities.
This has been my best touring experience. Dan was great. I'm really happy I went with this experience as a solo female traveler.
The tour was fantastic. We were accompanied by time and could see everything clear. Thanks to Daniel, she became very pleasant and her comments were very interesting. Always willing to answer any questions, with a smile and with kind jokes. To repeat without a doubt. Great choice

The tour guide Juan Diaz was great because the shared detailed information regarding the largest volcanos in Costa Rica in addition to Poas.
