Ga met Fes naar Meknes Volubilis Day Trip en stap terug in de Romeinse geschiedenis, ontdek de overgebleven ruïnes, prachtige gebouwen en mysterieuze geheimen van een van de machtigste rijken in de geschiedenis.

09.30 uur Excursie begint met je te ontmoeten in je hotel of Riad in Fez en begint te rijden door het prachtige veranderende landschap van het Marokkaanse platteland. Onze eerste stop was de betoverende Chahed-rivier, een prachtig landschap met betoverende uitzichten. Daarna gaan we richting Volubilis, de oude Romeinse ruïnes die dateren uit de 3e eeuw voor Christus. We zullen dwalen door de fascinerende oude kastelen en overlevende paleizen, om een glimp op te vangen van het oude Romeinse rijk, en de fascinerende architectuur en majestueuze ontwerpen bewonderen terwijl we enkele foto's maken van de Boog van Caracalla, de basiliek en de Capitolinetempel. Ga verder naar Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, het heilige dorpje. Je chauffeur laat je kennismaken met de diepe geschiedenis van de prachtige stad, het huis van Idriss I, de eerste Marokkaanse heerser en degene die de islam naar Marokko heeft gebracht. We zullen door de oude winderige straten en de prachtige oude Marokkaanse architectuur wandelen, terwijl we de grote moskee van de stad bezoeken, de eerste klassieke moskee in Marokko. Ga daarna verder met onze dagtocht naar Meknes, het historische erfgoed van de 17e eeuw en de prachtige Ismailia-hoofdstad. Na een verleidelijke Marokkaanse Tajine voor de lunch, zullen we een rondleiding door de oude stad maken om de enorme muren van de oude medina te ontdekken om de meest adembenemende ambachten en traditionele kleine winkeltjes te zien. Vervolgens zullen we de fascinerende poort van Bab El Mansour ontdekken, een prachtige Gateway goed bewaard gebleven met weelderige, als vervaagde, zellige (Marokkaans mozaïek tegelwerk). We zouden ook graag een bezoek brengen aan het heiligdom van Moulay Ismail, om inzicht te krijgen in zijn interessante leven en eeuwige prestaties. We zullen u door de kleurrijke verfrissende ruime Souks leiden, waardoor ze een ontspannen plek zijn om te verkennen. We zullen ook de fascinerende historische bezienswaardigheden, het mausoleum en de Rouah bezoeken, de koninklijke stallen met meer dan 12.000 paarden, samen met Place el-Hedim, het centrale voetgangersplein in de medina en een leuke kleine versie van het Jamaa El Fna-plein in Marrakech. Na een onvergetelijke tour in de ommuurde hoofdstad; Je chauffeur brengt je terug naar Fez langs het mooiste panoramische uitzicht, om je uiteindelijk af te zetten in je Hotel / Riad in Fez.

Great service and friendliness of the driver, Yasir, the guide in Meknes very good although the guide in Volubilis not so much seems had to be in a hurry and did not go deep.
- Super friendly driver, with whom you can have a good conversation about anything - Maximum flexibility with regard to the respective length of visits to Volubilis, Moulay Idriss and Meknes - no stress of being back on time with the vehicle as with larger tours - We were driven to a restaurant with good vegetarian options after appropriate demand for lunch - Flexible pick-up from other points within Meknes (so we didn't have to walk uphill again from the Lahboul garden) - On-time pick-up directly at the riad and also drop-off at the end at a location of your choice in Fez
Volubilis was a highlight, with its well-preserved Roman ruins offering a captivating glimpse into the past. The guided tour was informative and brought the site to life. Our driver was amazing. He answered all of our questions and helped us find a great guide at Volubilis. The car was clean and he was a careful driver. Volubilis was fascinating-worth the visit. We needed to get to the train station instead of returning to Fes, and he took dropped us off in front of the station.

Our friendly driver Sufian picked us up right outside of our hotel and transported us safely to Volubilis, which was our main focus on this tour. He was very helpful with advice and coordinated an English-speaking guide for our tour of the ruins that proved to be fun and very informative. He also did a wonderful job recommending a great restaurant for lunch upon arrival in Meknes. I’m sure there are other travel options to get from Fez to Meknes, but nothing compares to the polite and professional service we received on our private drive.

Everything from beginning to end. Some of the attractions are closed until end of 2023 but it was worthwhile anyway

We’ve done a fantastic tour from Fes to Meknes, with a stop in Volubilis. Our experience was so nice, we have had all the time to enjoy the cities and to do an amazing lunch. We had a wonderful service from Nasser who is an extremely polite and well spoken professional He explained some of the history of Voubulis and gave us some excellent hints and tips about what to see and to avoid the dodgy guides in maulay Idriss as it is not necessary for such a small village. Nasser also stopped at number of spot’s giving us the opportunity to take some nice panoramic pictures
