Imad reached out to us on WhatsApp to coordinate everything, and the communication was excellent from start to finish. We then had the pleasure of meeting Ahmed, our guide through Fes and what a true gem he is! Ahmed is practically a local celebrity. Everyone in Fes seems to know him, and it’s easy to see why he’s so loved. His knowledge, personality, and warmth made our experience truly unforgettable. Thank you, Imad and Ahmed, for such an amazing experience in Fes. It’s definitely one we’ll always remember from our time in Morocco.

This August 2026 I booked a last-minute tour with Medina Mystique Tours through Booking.com . First Imad, the owner contacts you through whatsapp and is really polite, clear and helpful. Then the next day I had the tour itself, which in my case was given by Ahmed. Ahmed is really nice, knows a lot and a real pleasure to spend the day with. I can highly recommend this tour, thank you guys!

We had a fantastic tour with our guide Adil. He met us at our riad and we set off on an amazing walking history tour. He listened when we said shopping wasn’t our interest and while we stopped by shops to see the beautiful wares, we moved on quickly. He patiently waited as we absorbed (slowly!) the interesting exhibits at the museums we went into. We saw everything!! All the while he made the Medina come alive with his knowledge and anecdotes. The owner Imad was also amazing - flexible when we asked to make some changes and so helpful along the way. This tour company made our stay in Fes so special. They are truly top notch. Book with them! Highly recommended!

After the tour, he sent a list of places we told Hicham we wanted to go back to so they was easy to find. As for our walking tour of Fez with Hicham, it was a splendid experience. Hicham was friendly, knowledgeable and because he grew up in the neighborhood had many friends along our route. He taught us so much about the structures, foods and etiquette in Fez. He was so attentive and at times altered his route based on our interests. This was the perfect activity to do on the first day in Morocco.

Over the 4 hours, we visited all the major highlights listed in the itinerary, including Bab Bou Jeloud, Nejjarine Museum, a public bakery, the Al-Qarawiyyin area, Chouara Tannery, the dyeing souk, and several traditional artisan workshops. Ahmed shared fascinating insights into the history, architecture, culture, and everyday life of Fez, making the Medina much easier to understand and appreciate. He speaks excellent English, has a great sense of humor, and always checked whether I needed a break or wanted to skip any workshop visits. Although the tour included several artisan shops, I never felt any pressure to buy anything, and every purchase was entirely my own choice. If you’re visiting Fez for the first time and want to understand the Medina beyond what you can learn on your own, I highly recommend Ahmed.

Adil was a great tour guide. He is very knowledgeable as a local resident who grew up in the Medina. He shows you things that might be harder as a tourist alone and explains some important history along the way. He also has lots of friends in the Medina and shares his community with you, His English is good and he is nice and flexible about your itinerary. We really enjoyed our tour.
