Uw uitgebreide stadstour van 4 uur in de ochtend eindigt in stijl met een veerboottocht naar en rondleiding op het (beruchte) eiland Alcatraz in de middag.
Nadat u 's ochtends bent opgehaald op een van de twee handige locaties in San Francisco, begint uw stadstour aan de waterkant van San Francisco in de populaire Fisherman's Wharf.
Halte #1 – Paleis voor Schone Kunsten Voordat je door het Marina District rolt op weg naar je eerste stop. Bij het mooie en Instagrambare Paleis voor Schone Kunsten krijg je de kans om te stoppen en het historische gebouw, het terrein en de verbluffend mooie lagune te fotograferen.
Ga verder naar de meest iconische halte bij de Golden Gate Bridge.
Halte #2 – Golden Gate Bridge Breng 10-15 minuten door op een perfect uitzichtpunt om foto's te maken en herinneringen te creëren.
Halte #3 – Land’s End Overlook De volgende stop tijdens je San Francisco City Highlights-tour is het historische Land's End, waar je je benen kunt strekken terwijl je uitkijkt over Sutro Baths en de kustlijn van de Stille Oceaan.
De Sutro Baths was een groot, particulier zoutwaterzwembadcomplex in het Lands End-gebied van het Outer Richmond District in het westen van San Francisco, Californië. Het is gebouwd in 1896 en ligt in de buurt van Cliff House, Seal Rocks en Sutro Heights Park. De faciliteit brandde in juni 1966 af en ligt nu in puin in het Golden Gate National Recreation Area en het Sutro Historic District.
Ocean Beach is een strand aan de westkust van San Francisco, grenzend aan de Stille Oceaan. De "Great Highway" loopt langs het strand, en het Cliff House en de locatie van de voormalige Sutro Baths liggen aan de noordkant. Het strand maakt deel uit van het Golden Gate National Recreation Area, dat wordt beheerd door de National Park Service.
Later zul je versteld staan van de schoonheid van het Golden Gate Park terwijl je langs Nederlandse windmolens, de tulpentuin van koningin Wilhelmina, de bizonweide en oude sequoia- en eucalyptusbossen rijdt.
De Dutch Windmill is de noordelijke van twee functionerende windmolens, aan de westelijke rand van het Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Het werd voltooid in 1903 en op 6 december 1981 op de San Francisco Designated Landmark-lijst geplaatst.
Oud weiland met een grazende kudde Amerikaanse bizons, verzorgd door de dierentuin van San Francisco.
Vervolgens nemen we je mee door de wijk Haight-Ashbury, waar je enkele van de beroemde Victoriaanse huizen van San Francisco kunt zien, bekend om hun iconische architectuur.
Halte #4 – Twin Peaks Als de mist het toelaat, geeft de volgende stop op deze tour je een panoramisch uitzicht over de hele Bay Area vanaf de top van Twin Peaks. Hier krijg je een geweldig panoramisch uitzicht op de Golden Gate Bridge, Mount Tamalpais, Mount Diablo, de hele baai en meer vanuit het uitkijkpunt op 300 meter boven zeeniveau. Om te zeggen dat het adembenemend is, zou een understatement zijn!
Afzetten bij Pier 39 voor uw vrije tijd
Ga vervolgens naar Pier 33 en stap aan boord van de veerboot voor de Alcatraz Island Prison Tour.
Tijdens de 15 minuten durende tocht heeft u een fantastisch uitzicht op de skyline van de stad, de Golden Gate Bridge, Bay Bridge, San Francisco Bay en Angel Island - houd uw camera gereed! Bij aankomst op Alcatraz Island haalt u de Cellhouse Audio Tour op die is inbegrepen bij de aankoop van dit San Francisco en Alcatraz tourpakket. Hoor de stemmen van gevangenen en bewakers die hun ervaringen bij Alcatraz beschrijven in het Engels, Spaans, Japans, Frans, Italiaans, Duits, Nederlands of Mandarijn. Nadat u naar hartenlust op Alcatraz Island heeft rondgetoerd, neemt u een van de terugkerende veerboten terug naar Pier 33. Als u trek of dorst heeft gekregen, zijn er tal van Fisherman's Wharf-opties voordat u op eigen gelegenheid terugkeert naar uw hotel.

- De Californische wet vereist dat tourgasten een autoveiligheidsstoel meenemen voor alle kinderen jonger dan 8 jaar en kleiner dan 1,4 meter. Elke gast die geen veiligheidszitje voor zijn kind biedt op het moment van de tour en de touroperator niet van tevoren op de hoogte stelt, mag mogelijk niet aan boord van de tour en kan niet worden terugbetaald.

Very intereting, strolling around san fransisco

When I booked this tour, I was looking for more of a group experience with a real guide, which is what I purchased. Because of not having enough people sign up for the tour, we were told to do the hop-on hop-off bus tour and then meet up at the Alcatraz departure pier, to go on that tour at 2;15pm. Well, it's very hard to plan that out when you have no idea how long the hop-on hop-off bus is going to take. When could we get off the bus to eat lunch and still have time to get to the pier. Plus I couldn't get much information before I left for San Francisco. So once we were here, I had to contact the company the day before our tour to even get the information I needed before going on the tour. We were on three different hop-on- hop-off buses, one of them we were stuck in the bottom of the bus due to the number of people on there and it was sweltering hot over eighty degrees. For some reason, the heat was on, let's just say I was not impressed with the hop on hop off bus experience. I didn't want that to begin with. I wanted a traditional tour bus with a live guide that could answer questions and give me recommendations. The Alcatraz portion of the tour was fine. As we had to go pick up our tickets at the will call booth.That was no problem. The bus portion was very disappointing.I will never use this company again. The real kicker was, they would not give me a refund. They changed the tour. I either had to do the hop on hop off bus as replacement or try to schedule the tour another day that they would have the full tour that they advertised. I did not have an other available day. That's the most discouraging part. I would have been fine with taking my money back and getting it different tour. But that was not an option. I paid almost $300 for two people on this tour. The Alcatraz tickets were only $30 at the pier, and the hop-on hop-off tickets were only $40 for the day pwe day. So basically, I could have spent $70 per person instead, I spent a $150 a person. That sucks.

Great if you wanna spend the morning hitting all the major sights with about 4-5 stops for pictures and driving by the rest. They get you to the ferry area just in time for a little lunch and to board the ferry to Alcatraz if you do that option.

This tour covers everything you’d want to see in San Francisco, from famous landmarks to hidden gems. The Palace of Fine Arts was stunning, and the Golden Gate Bridge was a dream to photograph. Very unorganized. I received many texts messages with different meet times. One time says meet at 815. Then another stated 215.

While this tour didn’t really live up to its description, I did enjoy it. We didn’t see everything on the list, which was frustrating. I understand traffic and things, but ending early to accommodate people who didn’t follow directions and being their documents for Alcatraz was super annoying. We saw Presidio, Lands End, Fisherman’s Wharf, Golden Gate Park. The guide was good and offered lots of tips and suggestions. Alcatraz was great and they let you stay on the island as long as you want (until last ferry back), which was great. The island is run by the IS Parks service and was well worth the visit.
