Ontdek de bezienswaardigheden van Linderhof en Neuschwanstein. Onze comfortabele touringcar brengt u met een kleinere groep naar de kastelen Linderhof en Neuschwanstein. De hele tour wordt geleid door een professionele Engelssprekende gids die je een interessante rondleiding door het kasteel zal geven. Daarna krijgt u ruim de tijd om de schoonheid van het kasteelterrein en het adembenemende landschap te ontdekken. Onze doorlopende reis brengt u vervolgens naar Hohenschwangau, waar u kunt genieten van een lunch en het fantastische kasteel van Neuschwanstein kunt bezoeken. Tijdens de rit heb je de keuze uit diverse drankjes en zijn er ook wat snacks bij het arrangement inbegrepen. Natuurlijk staat onze deskundige gids klaar om u tijdens de tour te helpen en uw vragen te beantwoorden. Entreegelden inbegrepen!

We ontmoeten elkaar om 8.45 uur in de Sonnenstrasse 1, 80331 München. Daar vindt u een tourbus met de aanduiding “Mentor Reisen” en onze vriendelijke chauffeur en Gids verwelkomen u bij het inchecken. We vertrekken om 9.00 uur en rijden langs verschillende bezienswaardigheden van München (die de Gids zal uitleggen) op weg naar het terrein van het Linderhof Paleis en de Venusgrot. Vanaf 1 mei vertrekken we om 8u30 en ontmoeten we elkaar om 8u15!
U arriveert rond 10.00 uur op de parkeerplaats van Paleis Linderhof. Nadat de Gids de tickets bij het ticketcentrum heeft opgehaald, lopen jullie samen naar de Venusgrot. Het pad is licht bergop en duurt ongeveer 20 minuten. De rondleiding door de kunstmatig gecreëerde grot met een meer duurt ongeveer 15 minuten en wordt live in het Engels uitgevoerd. U zult gefascineerd zijn door het kleurenspel en het interieurontwerp. Na 10 jaar authentieke restauratie is de grot in 2025 heropend voor bezoekers. Let op : Alleen in de zomer beschikbaar van 1 mei tot 15 oktober.
Rond 11.00 uur verlaat u de grot en gaat u naar Paleis Linderhof, dat sinds 2025 op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat. Verken de tuinen rondom het paleis op eigen houtje en ga dan naar de ingang van het paleis. Het kleinste, volledig ingerichte, paleis werd in de 19e eeuw gebouwd in de Franse rococo- en barokstijl. Het Paleis van Versailles beïnvloedde zowel de bouwstijl als de tuinen. De rondleiding vindt live plaats in het Engels om 11.00 uur 40 uur en duurt ongeveer 30 minuten. De tourbus vertrekt om 12.30 uur.
Op de route tussen Slot Linderhof en het dorp Hohenschwangau, onder Slot Neuschwanstein, ligt het kunstenaarsdorp Oberammergau. Het staat bekend om zijn gevelschilderingen (bekend als Lüftl-Malerei) en houtsnijwerk. Ook de Passion Plays, die er om de 10 jaar plaatsvinden, zijn wereldberoemd geworden. Ze beelden de laatste week van Jezus’ leven uit, van Palmzondag tot Pasen. Je maakt een tour door de stad per touringcar, omdat je hierdoor veel meer kunt zien dan een korte stop zou doen.
Na een rit van ongeveer 50 minuten komen we aan in het dorpje Hohenschwangau. Zodra de Gids de tickets voor het kasteel heeft opgehaald aan de kassa, heb je wat vrije tijd. We raden zeker een bezoek aan de Marienbrug. De "Marienbridge" werd gebouwd in 1845 en heeft nog originele elementen op de reling. Vanaf daar is het uitzicht op kasteel Neuschwanstein werkelijk uniek. Je moet absoluut van de gelegenheid gebruik maken om daar een foto van te maken!
Kasteel Neuschwanstein bereikt u te voet (ongeveer 30 - 40 minuten bergop), met de pendelbus / met paardenkoets tegen betaling. Uw Gids zal u voorzien van de exacte details. De rondleiding door Slot Neuschwanstein begint kort na 16.00 uur en duurt ongeveer 25 minuten met een audio Gids. Daarna kunt u direct terug naar de tourbus. De terugreis naar München vertrekt om 17u30

- Zorg dat u om ongeveer 8 uur 's morgens om 45 uur bij het verzamelpunt bent!!! (vanaf 1 mei om 8:15 uur!)
- U heeft contant geld nodig als u gebruik wilt maken van de shuttlebus of paardenkoets.
- Let op : Bij Slot Neuschwanstein zijn meer dan 300 treden te beklimmen!

The castles are very different but both spectacular. There are a lot of steps and some inclines and declines so smart, comfortable footwear is a must. Cansel and Regip were great and I highly recommend this tour.
The pickup location required a bit of planning for us (2 trams and a walk), but we knew that beforehand and were prepared for that. The convenience of not having to drive to and deal with the ticketing at the castles is hugely valuable for someone on holiday. Sabine's historical knowledge and personal connection to Bavaria gave us a lot of insight to the sites we visited. It was a good way to visit all these sites in one day.

Our trip was fantastic from start to finish! Barbara’s storytelling was top-tier, and our driver made the ride smooth and effortless. The bus was comfortable, well-stocked with snacks, and perfectly timed. Plenty of walking at each ideal stop gave us the perfect excuse to relax during the drives. Best of all, it kept our teenagers completely engaged!

We mistakenly turned up a day early and thought we would have to come back again the next day. Thankfully we had a wonderful guide and driver who contacted the office and got permission for us to join their tour. We were given drinks and snacks at every stop which was really appreciated. The tour was well organised and the guide, Sabine did a wonderful job of entertaining us and keeping us on time so that we were able to enjoy each stop without being rushed. Surprisingly our favourite place was Lindenhof Castle. Would highly recommend this tour.

TLDR; seriously not for the faint of heart. There is a lot of uphill walking. Also, there are a lot of stairs, and a lot of walking. Did I mention the walking. Linderhof: Start with an uphill hike to the grotto. The inside is incredible, all man-made. If I could have gone just one place on this trip it would be here. Downhill hike to the palace. If you go all the way through r the garden and up a lot of steps you can see the Venus shrine. Stand near the palace steps and zoom your camera instead. Unless you are here for the walking. The palace itself is OK. It’s tiny and it’s hard to imagine a king living there, even in the solitude he craved. Definitely worth seeing. Neuschwanstein: Seriously, I mean there is one walk from the town up to the castle that is at least a mile. Uphill. All the way. There are shuttle services (bus and horse carriage) but they aren’t free, the lines are long and they pack you in very tightly. I’m not ashamed to say is was puffing like a steam engine at the top (took me 55 minutes - age 72 - fitness level - don’t ask). The castle itself (inside) is disappointing. The outside is awesome from a distance. It’s a LOT of stairs inside too. The King didn’t finish this one before his mysterious death, so there are really only two rooms worth seeing (ballroom/throne room). The rest are relatively pedestrian as he built a lot of modernity into the structure (kitchen, etc.). The tour guide (Kristen for us) is not allowed to give tours inside the castle. This actually makes a little sense once you realize the on-site tour guides have a very crisp script that rushes you through in about 20 minutes. Hey, I just literally hiked a mile, uphill to see this and that’s all you got? Honestly - would not go back. This is no reflection on Kristine or our driver (Rexhin? SP), who both did a great job for us. They were very professional and friendly the entire time and the briefings and timing cues were spot on. Full marks for the company!

Christine was a fantastic guide who was super friendly, gave lots of information about Ludvig II and made sure everyone had a great day. We even got a complimentary upgrade to the VIP tour and received some snacks and drinks on board the coach. The castles were great and the timing did not feel rushed even with the time restraints in each place.

Wear comfortable shoes and clothing for any type of weather. A lot of walking uphill and downhill at times.
