The Mountain of 7 Colors of Rainbow Mountain (Rainbow Mountain) of beter bekend bij de lokale bevolking als Cerro Colorado, ligt in Vinicunca, provincie Quipicanchis, departement Cusco. De geologische formaties onthullen al hun pracht, in tegenstelling tot de blauwe lucht, en vormen een formidabele barrière tussen de kustwoestijn en het Amazone-oerwoud. Het Vinicunca-gebergte is een van de spectaculaire plekken in het Vilcanota-gebergte, in afwachting van een natuurlijke kleuring, deze kleur is te wijten aan de aanwezigheid van sedimentaire stenen in erosie. Wat indrukwekkend is, is hoe de stenen zijn gevormd om een set van zeven kleuren te vormen. De hoogte van de berg is ongeveer 5.000 meter boven zeeniveau. Vinincunca of Berg van Zeven Kleuren, is een van de grote attracties die je niet mag missen tijdens je reis naar Peru, het is opgenomen in de lijst van de 100 plaatsen in de wereld die je moet bezoeken voordat je sterft. Het is een spectaculaire levensuitdaging die je zal vullen met vitale energie.

De stad Cusipata zal onze verplichte stop zijn om te genieten van ons ontbijtbuffet en ook in de middag zal het de plek zijn voor de lunch.
REISPLAN Het avontuur begint tussen 04.00 uur. M. en 04.30 uur m., waarna onze transporteur u ophaalt bij uw accommodatie, waarna we naar de stad Cusipata gaan Rond 06.30 uur komen we aan in Cusipata waar we zullen genieten van een ontbijtbuffet. Na het ontbijt beginnen we aan de klim langs een gemeenschappelijke onverharde weg tot we 4.800 meter hoogte bereiken. Vervolgens beginnen we aan een wandeling over een pad van 3 km, onderweg geniet je van landschappen vol flora en fauna van de Andes. Het kleurrijke bergnetwerk zal beetje bij beetje verschijnen, totdat je het uitkijkpunt op 5.000 meter boven zeeniveau bereikt. Daarna dalen we af langs hetzelfde pad, stappen aan boord van ons voertuig en dalen af naar Cusipata, waar u een heerlijke lunch krijgt en vervolgens terugkeert naar de keizerlijke stad Cusco. Aan het einde van de Mountain of Colors Tour keert u terug naar Cusco, waar ons vervoer u naar het stadscentrum brengt (ongeveer 16.30 uur)

Everything was great, Dora and Renato were very kind, they picked us up at our accommodation, helped us with everything, and were always attentive.
Really great tour. Freddie our guide was so lovely, funny and knowledgeable. He was very attentive and made sure everyone was ok. He also on the way back showed us a different route down which was beautiful. 100% recommend!!
Challenge completed. Excellent tour, walking uphill to the 5036 meters of height of the Vinicunca rainbow mountain and then 100 more meters to contemplate the Red Valley. The journey, walking slowly and with pauses, is achievable. While you can choose to do it on horseback or an ATV (the last part requires ascending steep stairs), I chose to walk to slowly take in the entire landscape. Bring coca leaves and floral water; it will help you with altitude sickness. Although the day was sunny, it is still necessary to dress warmly. Don't miss the Red Valley; beautiful views await you.
The guide Dora was kind, attentive, and explained everything regarding the history of the Mountain of Seven Colors. She also kept an eye on each of the hikers. Great experience

Everything went perfectly, punctual and precise, and the place is wonderful.
Freddie is a nice guy. Pick up was prompt. He informed me how to get to the Red Valley and when to be back in the parking lot. I stuck to the schedule but someone else didn't. And so all the rest of us ended up wasting time. Breakfast and lunch were both at the same restaurant - buffet style. Quality and quantity of food were both very good.
Excellent experience! Our guide Hilthon shared us about the culture of Cusco and taught us many interesting things, took care to keep the group together and always kept an eye on us being okay, definitely made the experience even more wonderful! The mountain of 7 colors or Vinikunka is extraordinary, and all the landscapes around it beautiful, the trekking is worth 100%, and our tour included breakfast and lunch, plus the trekking poles to support us. I would recommend it to everyone!!
Fredi and Carlos are the best tour guides in all of Peru. If you are coming to Peru please do yourself a favor and book with them
I would not use this tour operator because we got the confirmation for 4:30am but the operator later stated via email that they would pick us up 30 minutes earlier which wasn’t in the confirmation or description. When we tried to contact them asking where are they said that we missed the pick up and would have to double pay for a taxi to get on the tour.
