Victoria Whale and Wildlife-cruise

Great experience despite the wind and drizzle!! All of the guides/naturalists were brilliant - we learnt a lot. Shout out to Captain Rod for getting to the right locations to see the whales and wildlife and Derek, Carol & Emma for the info that they shared with us - brilliant!! Would recommend the trip to anyone interested in wildlife - just brilliant!!

What an awesome tour. Lilie our guide was knowledgeable and fun. We saw seals, a sea lion, orca and humpback whales. It was a small group (12 people) on the open top boats. There was plenty of room for the group size and you could easily see the wildlife from all areas of the boat. Highly recommend Eagle Wing tours and the Whale and Wildlife Cruise!

We had an incredible experience with Eagle Wing Tours in Victoria! We chose the open boat tour, and it exceeded every expectation. The crew was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the local wildlife. They took the time to make sure everyone on board had a great experience and never made us feel rushed. The wildlife viewing was phenomenal. We were lucky enough to see an abundance of orcas, humpback whales breaching, and sea lions—all in one trip. It was an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our vacation. Victoria was our last port on our cruise and we got off ship early and did and impromptu booking with this tour company. Honestly the best decision we made. We went on a fast boat with tour guide Sarah and pilot Jeremy. Around 25 persons on board. They provided all the protective clothing needed for a high speed at sea tour, Including hat, gloves, sunglasses and binoculars if you didn’t have them already. The boat was comfortable despite the speeds we did and there was a rest room onboard, although apparently slightly challenging to use at sea. The crew were so skilled at their job and we saw hump backs, had a rare fin whale sighting ( Sarah was extremely happy) and orcas. Sarah was so knowledgeable and happy to share this plus answer any questions we had. Jeremy was a skilled pilot and showed the beautiful creatures we saw such respect in the way he manoeuvred the boat so as not to disturb them. I cannot recommend this company enough. Sarah even shared her photographs with us via email, they were amazing. Just to add this tour was a fraction of the price we paid for onboard organised excursions. Captain Trev and Tilly did an amazing job on our tour and made the experience the best it could possibly be! We saw many whales and all different kinds of wildlife. I highly recommend this tour and will definitely be back for more whale watching!

Wow! What an experience. First off, the crews were fantastic! Super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We went out and briefly saw two humpbacks before they dove down to continue feeding away from our prying eyes. We started back and saw two bald eagles and some harbour seals. Because the humpback sighting was so brief, our group was offered their whale sighting guarantee. Meaning we could return at anytime for no additional charge - so we did, two days later. This second outing was a beautiful one to remember. We first saw a pod of orcas that came quite close. One of the orcas even had her baby. Our captain was great in making sure we stayed far enough away to not impede on their direction. We paralleled these orcas for some time and moved on to see what else we could find. We found another bald eagle and some sheep on an island. On our way back, one of our crew members, Lily, spotted another pod of orcas 2km out (great spotting). As we neared this pod of orcas, it was discovered they were in an active hunt of a harbour porpoise. The hunt was successful and we got to see the big male celebrate the successful hunt with a spy hop. The crew members on both trips were extremely knowledgeable, telling us about the islands we were passing and some of their history. When they spotted wildlife they would point them out to us, and educate us about that species. I would HIGHLY recommend Eagle Wing Whale Watching to anyone visiting the area and are interested in spotting wildlife in a responsible manner. As a suggestion, no matter the temperature, bring a coat. On the water the temperature drops and it gets chilly.

Super day out with the team. Saw over 16 humpback whales on our day out! Extremely lucky. The team were full of information and happy to answer any questions. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our half-day whale watch. The crew was knowledgeable and friendly, and we saw orcas and humpbacks aplenty. We learned a lot and had a beautiful time out on the water. Thanks to Captain Rod, Carole, Jo Jo, Liam, and Derek for a wonderful experience!
