Versailles Domain Audio begeleide halve dag tour vanuit Parijs

This was seriously overpriced. All they did was provide a ride to Versailles and back, so the margin they collected, on top of me just booking a Versailles entry ticket myself, was ridiculous. Perhaps I should have guessed this might be the case since the description said it would be an audio guide via mobile app, not a proper tour guide. But I hoped that we'd at least hear some context about the palace, maybe even some of the history behind it, during the ride there. Instead we got nothing. Not only that, but the ride back was very uncomfortable: the bus was extremely hot and the air conditioning seemed like it was barely on. Also, on the day we went, many things at Versailles were closed (that alone was a bit frustrating), but it meant that we didn't need the full four hours. So we basically were stuck there, waiting for a return ride. I would have been better off getting tickets myself and arranging an Uber there. Then we could have left at our leisure (and likely had better air conditioning and comfort on the way back) and saved a lot of money. Instead, we had to kill time at Versailles, and the only place for resting and waiting that was semi-comfortable were benches in the garden (some were out of the sunlight), which required walking around in the scorching sun. When we returned to meet the hostess and get a ride back, we also had to wait in the scorching sun. The hostess offered shade by way of standing in the shadow of the statue of Louis XIV on horseback, except there was already a significant crowd there and no actual shade to be had.

This tour was worth booking. Hugo was an excellent tour guide. Very accommodating, knowledgeable, and willing to answer question or explain in more detail if needed. Highly recommend.

Instructions for the tour's pick up did not clearly mention that you're looking for someone in a red vest who will pop up in front of the cited address, pulling a plastic crate on wheels with a banner. Our 10:00 tour start time meant showing up by 9:30 but not getting admission to Versailles until the 11:30 slot ... after waiting in the sun for over 40 minutes in 30 degree temps. The crowds were huge, shoulder to shoulder sheeple passing through the castle's rooms. When we'd had enough looking at the back of people's heads, we texted the 'host' who one of the stated benefits of our $280Cdn ticket. We asked whether we could catch an earlier bus back to the city and when we FINALLY got a reply, raced to the pick up spot before the new target time s/he provided but there was no red-vest clad staffer and no bus. We ubered back to the ciity and will not book through this company again.

the place is impressive, wealth everywhere, total opulence. I used the audio guide but it does not serve as a good guide for the place, the facilities are not well related to the explanations, it is hard to get oriented. The details it provides are good.

Very nice place and service, this was te unique available option for this tour and we are very gratefull that we found it. 10/10!

1) They ask for punctuality, but the bus left half an hour later than planned. 2) You had to download an app (free in Apple Store) that served as an audio guide. Getting her off the bus, without wifi, wasn't easy. 3) Arriving (late) in Versailles, we were placed in the wrong queue. After we figured it out, we went in an hour late. 4) They did not change the pickup time, so we had 2 1/2 hours to see the palace and gardens: impossible. We saw (quickly) half the palace and almost nothing of the fountains and gardens. 5) Again, the customers were punctual, but the bus left another half hour late to return. NOT RECOMMENDED.

This is not a tour , just a transportation/ticket service. The place is beautiful but if you are looking for some guided experience this tour is not it . It is also very rushed

Very disorganized we were supposed to leave at 11am we didn’t leave until 11:40 didn’t get there till 12:30 told we had to be back at the bus at 2:50- not very much time to see any thing - get back at 2:50 no bus anywhere - finally find the rude tour person the bus will be late we waited in the hot sun 40 minutes - worst experience I’d give a zero if possible

The coach was great with a friendly driver and a great guide who gave very concise info regarding times, pick up point etc. The Palace itself is exquisitely beautiful. But......the audio guide was useless. I downloaded the app and plugged in my headphones but got very little help from the staff as to how to use the guide??? A list of numbers come up on the guide but these did not correspond to the actual areas in the Palace. I was lost.

We take the Versailles tour, time 11.00am to 1450pm. We left more than half an hour late waiting in the cold on the street. On the way back we arrived at the place where the bus should be and there wasn't one, they left the entire group stranded and told us that there was a train in the town. Other tourists had to take an Uber to avoid missing their flight back to their country. Not very serious. I don't recommend them.
