Deze foodtour is de perfecte introductie tot de stad, waarbij de geschiedenis, cultuur en gastronomie worden gecombineerd in één unieke ervaring. Ontmoet je Gids en groep in het historische centrum en duik meteen in het Veronese ochtendleven. Uw eerste stop is een geliefd café voor het klassieke ontbijt : Espresso gecombineerd met Risino, een traditioneel gebak waar de lokale bevolking al generaties lang van geniet. Terwijl je door charmante straatjes slentert, deelt je Gids de verhalen achter de plekken waar de lokale bevolking dol op is. U bezoekt een historische Osteria om handgemaakte gehaktballetjes te proeven, bereid met aloude recepten, waarna u zich vestigt in een gastvrije Trattoria voor de ster van de Veronese keuken: risotto all'Amarone, doordrenkt met de gewaardeerde Valpolicella-wijn uit de regio. De reis gaat verder in een elegante wijnbar, waar een begeleide proeverij van 3 lokale wijnen onthult waarom de wijntraditie van deze regio wereldwijd wordt gevierd. Je laatste stop? Een ambachtelijke gelateria voor de perfecte zoete afsluiting van je ochtend.

Volg je lokale foodie, beleef een unieke ervaring en begin, net als een echte local, je dag op de juiste manier met het drinken van een authentieke Italiaanse espresso. Zo begint deze culinaire reis en na een korte wandeling in de buurt van de majestueuze Arena verdiep je je in de originele lokale delicatessen.
Na een heel Italiaans begin staat er een klassiek aperitief op je te wachten. Je stopt in een van de meest traditionele "Osterie" van de stad, waar je kunt genieten van lokale producten, zoals Soppressa (een soort salami), Monte Veronese kaas en de beroemde cicchetti uit Verona.
Ontdek vervolgens de aroma's en belangrijkste kenmerken van de traditionele lokale wijnen, zoals de rode wijn Valpolicella, of de witte wijnen uit het oosten van Verona en het Gardameer.
De volgende stap zal je doen watertanden: geniet van een traditioneel gerecht en ontdek enkele lokale culinaire tradities met je deskundige gids. Vervolg uw bezoek in de eetwijk van Verona, waar de meeste "Osterie" en botteghe zich bevinden
Stop ten slotte in een historische Gelateria om een lekkere ambachtelijke gelato te proeven om je mond op te frissen. Met deze tour kun je Verona vanuit een geheel nieuw perspectief zien, gemaakt van grote eenvoud en unieke smaken.

Andrea was an amazing guide with current tips on how to enjoy the old town of Verona as well a brief bits of history that made for a perfect blend of information. The food stops were amazing, all small shops featuring local specialties. I revisited several of them on my own in my additional days in Verona and enjoyed their welcoming hospitality. It was a wonderful first-day introduction to the city for me.

It was very informative (thanks to our guide Romina Origano). She was very authentic, cheerful, and made the trip enjoyable. You can tell she loves the city and the people in it.
