Uw reis begint bij de majestueuze Koutoubia-moskee, gevolgd door een bezoek aan de historische wijk Mellah, waar u de schoonheid van het Bahia-paleis verkent. Waag je vervolgens aan de bruisende soeks, waar je het vakmanschap van de leerambachtslieden, de smeden en Marokkaanse lampen en de levendige olijfmarkt ontdekt. Neem een rustige pauze bij een coöperatie voor kruiden, specerijen en oliën, een kans om te ontspannen, te leren en op te laden. De tour begint bij een 12e-eeuws religieus monument in het hart van de Medina van Marrakech, Jemaa el Fna. Van daaruit wordt u begeleid door een korte geschiedenis van Marokko, gevolgd door inzichten in Marrakech en de Koutoubia-moskee.
Mellah is de Joodse wijk waar de tourgilde uitleg zal geven over de verschillende soorten gebouwen in Marrakech (Joodse en Islamitische huizen) en een algemeen idee zal hebben over de richtingen binnen de Medina. Het duurt hier ongeveer 10 minuten en loop vervolgens naar het nabijgelegen Bahia-paleis (minder dan 2 minuten).
Je leert over de Moorse architectuur en ziet hoe de vizier leefde tijdens de late 19e eeuw.. Bahia Palace was het meest verbazingwekkende paleis in die tijd en het is ongeveer 8 hectare; ruim, goed ingericht en mooi. Iedereen zou graag meer dan 30 minuten binnen doorbrengen, foto's maken, Zelij, marmer, gesneden stucwerk en nog veel meer observeren .. dan gaat de tour naar Madrasa Ben Youssef langs de Souk en bezoekt een kruidenwinkel (optioneel) die tussen de 30-60 minuten duurt ..

Verken de levendige soeks van Marrakech terwijl je drie belangrijke secties bezoekt: de lederen soek, waar bekwame ambachtslieden ingewikkelde lederwaren vervaardigen; de smid en lampensoek, de thuisbasis van prachtige Marokkaanse lampen; en de olijfmarkt, boordevol lokale producten. Je krijgt ook de kans om een ambachtsman te observeren die delicaat stucwerk snijdt, een techniek die je eerder zag in het Bahia Paleis. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace ruins and the Souk. Amayyur is a history scholar and gave a detailed and fascinating explanation of the development of North Africa through the centuries. His guided tour through the Souk was excellent. We had a wonderful day touring Marrakech with Brahim, who taught us so much about the history, languages, culture, and cuisines of Marrakech and Morocco!
