Extraordinary outing led by passionate and caring biologists. Not only did we observe sperm whales and turtles for a long time, but we also obtained valuable information about them and the scientific ecosystem. Far from the big, ultra-crowded boats, a responsible and respectful approach is offered here. That is why we had selected them. Camilia's positive energy was an extra light to this day. Spots taken by Viator, which lost our already paid reservation; fortunately, our super biologists who welcomed us were able to find us on the list. Avoid Viator, which is a disaster, and book with Blue Safari Madeira!

A beautiful July morning with marine biologist Horst and captain Francisco, We were lucky enough to see fin whales and dolphins very up close, with super professional explanations from Horst (who knows many languages and also explained to us in Italian, to make it easier for us! Thanks!). The staff's respect for the animals must absolutely be highlighted: it is right to see them, but it is just as right not to stress them too much with our presence and our excessive proximity. Truly excellent. Highly recommended!

It was such an amazing experience we got to see awesome sperm whales and dolphins and also so nice to see that the guide was a marine biologist knew all of the facts and did this for research and to teach us more definitely would do again and would definitely recommend

Rose was an educational guide, explaining everything in French and English fluently. The concept of scientific outings is great. We were lucky with the dolphins, a fin whale, and pilot whales!

This was a wonderful experience! We did this on the 4th of July and were so lucky to see a huge pod of pilot whales up close. It was magical! We were also able to see flying fish which were so fascinating. We had Horst as our guide and Vlad as our captain and they were both brilliant. They were so friendly and funny. Horst had amazing knowledge of the pilot whales and they both genuinely cared for the animals and the ocean which was so lovely to see. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Madeira and to anyone who loves the ocean and its marine wildlife. Thanks for an amazing experience!

Absolute Highlight of Madeira – An Unforgettable, Respectful & Educational Experience! ​We booked the morning whale and dolphin watching tour with Camilla and Francesco, and it was hands down one of the best tours we have ever done – and we have done a lot! We are always very careful to only book eco-conscious tours that truly respect the wildlife, and this team exceeded all expectations. Throughout the entire trip, we had a wonderful feeling and felt 100% confident that the animals were never crowded or stressed. ​Camilla is a marine biologist who knows the local marine life incredibly well. She shared such fascinating research insights with us, and her passion was so contagious that it makes you want to dive right into the field yourself! We were incredibly lucky with our sightings and saw Bryde's whales, bottlenose dolphins, spotted dolphins, a sea turtle, and countless seabirds. ​Captain Francesco handled the speedboat perfectly and safely, making us feel completely comfortable and at ease the whole time. A huge advantage of the speedboat is that you can cover much more ground and go further out than the operators using standard sailing boats. Another great bonus is that you can even buy professional photos of the day afterwards if you didn't manage to take any yourself. ​We left the boat with full hearts and tears of joy in our eyes. This tour was the absolute highlight of our holiday in Madeira, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who truly cares about nature and animals. Thank you so much, Camilla and Francesco!
