De veerboot naar Ireland’s Eye is een schilderachtige en rustige reis over de wateren van de Ierse Zee. Passagiers kunnen genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op de ruige kustlijn en de iconische kliffen van Howth Head terwijl ze zich een weg banen naar het kleine, onbewoonde eiland.

Not recommended
I was there on a Saturday for the first ferry. And I was there 5 minutes before scheduled departure. I bought the ticket and the guy told me to go to the boat. 15 minutes later, nothing had happened, so I go and ask the guy why we're not leaving. Apparently the first ferry was canceled, and he didn't tell me when I got there. Instead I had to wait 15 minutes and go ask him myself.

Too rocky onto the island
Tbh was too rocky for me was like climbing up a cliff to get on the island from the boat. Nice views tho but all the time I was thinking I would need to get backdown the rocky bit to the boat scared I was. I am 69!

Best day ever
Have lived in Dublin all my life and for the past 20 years have been saying I must do the trip to irelands Eye. Have done it today and have had the best day ever will be doing this trip again.

Cant recommend it, the island is a wasteland.
Not recomended if you have children 10y or less, its very boring and hot for them.
Also be prepared to have long waits on return, you can return when you wamt there has to be availability on the boat (only 12 seats, children count as adults).
Not recomended for seniors unless you can walk safely on wet rocks.
Bring enough water for 3-4 hours.

Postcard view
Great crossing with friendly tour guides on a small boat, which rounded off the adventure positively. The island was fantastic and every photo a postcard view!

Great experience!
I am so glad I booked this! I was going back and forth between this ferry to the island and the tour around the island, but I’m very happy with my choice. I spent about two hours just walking around and exploring. Even on a somewhat dreary day, I had a great experience! There were three of us total on my ferry out, and on the way back there were six people. I liked that you did not have to choose a return time right away and you had options for how much time you wanted to spend there.
