Vanuit Angra : Tour van een halve dag naar het eiland Terceira (privé)
Beschrijving
Ga met ons mee op 3 uur rustig en ontspannen geleid bezoek aan het eiland, waarbij cultuur en prachtige uitzichten worden gemengd, we zullen samen het meeste uit deze tijd halen, rijdend door Monte Brasil, het enige schiereiland van het eiland, Goat Islet, een onderwatervulkaan, São Sebastião, de eerste plaats die we bevolkten bij aankomst op het eiland en Serra do Cume, een van de overgebleven bergkammen van de grootste caldeira van de Azoren! Het bezoek aan Algar do Carvão is optioneel en hangt af van het uur van de tour.

We bezoeken Monte Brasil, passeren de krater van de vulkaan en bereiken het uitzichtpunt naar de stad Angra Do Heroísmo, van waaruit we de geschiedenis kunnen zien die door de stad stroomt!
We rijden door Baía da Salga, waar we een historische ruzie hadden met de Spanjaarden, die het fort bouwden dat we in Monte Brasil hebben bezocht
In dit dorp bezoeken we een van de oudste kerken van het eiland, evenals een Império, een kleine kapel gewijd aan de Heilige Geest, een van de hoogtepunten van onze cultuur
Hier zullen we getuige zijn van de grootste Caldeira (structuur van een ingestorte vulkaan) van de Azoren, met slechts twee richels links, elk gescheiden door 7 km!
Optioneel, afhankelijk van het tijdstip van de tour, omdat het alleen 's middags open is. Het is een lege vulkaan, in zijn soort bestaat er slechts 3, het bezoek is toegankelijk, met trappen helemaal (geen lift). We zullen de structuur bezoeken, waarbij we getuige zijn van zeldzame formaties zoals stalactieten gevormd door silica.

Paulo was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Terceira Island. His passion for the rich culture was evident and he was so happy to share it with us. So many amazing views, sites and information. He took us to see where family villages were, even drove to where my grandfather grew up! He made the most of our 1 day on the island! Thanks so much Paulo! I would definitely recommend him.

Ricardo was our driver and guide and he was outstanding! We got way more than our money's worth with him. He took us to the caves, lava tube, and steam vents as well as Duck Lake. The scenery on the way to and from was fantastic too. You really need to see the lava tube and Duck Lake if you are on the island. They were so memorable. Ricardo was super friendly with pleasant conversation and very informative about the island and its history. He is also a firefighter so my husband enjoyed talking to him about that. He was a safe driver and picked us up right at the cruise ship with a sign on his car. We really had the perfect introduction to Terceria and look forward to going back because of him and his beautiful island.
Paulo's low-key island charm was the high point of an excellent tour. He provided us with the benefits of a lifetime spent on the island, and we learned much about the history and traditions of this beautiful island. Met us at cruise terminal and was easy to find. Highly recommended.
