Ontsnap aan de drukte van de stad en stap in een wereld van glooiende wijngaarden, historische landgoederen en wijn van wereldklasse. Tijdens deze dagelijkse halve dag wijntour wordt u getrakteerd op schilderachtige ritten door de pittoreske Kaapse Wijnlanden. Of u nu een doorgewinterde wijnliefhebber bent, of gewoon nieuwsgierig bent naar het Zuid-Afrikaanse wijnerfgoed, dit is de perfecte manier om de Kaap in slechts een paar uur te proeven. Tours rijden dagelijks, in de ochtend vanaf 8 uur en afzetten om 13 uur, en de middag van 14 tot 19 uur.

Suider Paarl (Southern Paarl) is een rustige buitenwijk van de grotere regio Paarl in de Kaapse Wijnlanden. Gelegen aan de voet van de majestueuze Paarlberg, biedt Suider Paarl een rustige landelijke sfeer
Nadat u bent opgehaald bij uw accommodatie, rijden we vanuit Kaapstad noordoostwaarts. We passeren enkele van de beruchtste townships in Zuid-Afrika en bespreken het dagelijkse leven van de lokale bevolking. Deze townships zijn ook de geboorteplaats van onze lokale kunstenaar. Daarna gaan we naar de stad Stellenbosch. Bekend als de op één na oudste stad van het land, met zijn eikenbomen langs de kant van de weg. Een van de straten, Church Street, heeft een aantal van de oudste architectuur op het zuidelijk halfrond. Als u door deze straten loopt, krijgt u een nostalgisch gevoel van hoe het was om hier vroeger rond te lopen. Dan is het Wine O Clock. De eerste wijnproeverij is bij Marianne, waar ze de rode wijn combineren met gedroogd vlees. Het is Jerkey, maar de Zuid-Afrikaanse term is 'Biltong'. Als laatste gaan we naar Fairview, waar ze de wijn combineren met kaas.

Stellenbosch staat bekend als de op één na oudste stad van het land en staat bekend om zijn pittoreske wijngaarden, historische Kaaps-Hollandse architectuur en zijn prestigieuze Universiteit van Stellenbosch, bekend om zijn academische en onderzoekskwaliteit. De stad heeft goed bewaarde Kaaps-Hollandse architectuur, gekenmerkt door witgekalkte gebouwen met rieten daken, sierlijke garbles en opvallende architectonische kenmerken. De stad is ook een levendig cultureel centrum, met een bloeiende kunstscene, talloze galerieën, musea en culturele evenementen. De straten zijn omzoomd met eikenbomen, die een glimp bieden van het koloniale verleden. Eén straat in de stad, Church Street, heeft een aantal van de oudste architectuur op het zuidelijk halfrond.

We had a fantastic afternoon on our wine tour. Our guide, Doney, was very friendly and engaging on the drive, telling us lots of fun and interesting facts about the area and the vineyards. We really enjoyed trying a variety of wines, cheese and local delicacies. Wouldn’t hesitate to book if I was visiting Cape Town again .
No information after making booking. No pick up or meeting information. Only after difficulty contacting the company was I given a meeting place In Stellenbosch. This was then changed 1hr before the tour and was asked to take a taxi for a 40min drive to the vineyard at my own expense after I had already travelled to the original pick up point. Very badly organised, no information about the tour and what was included. And unless I had tried to contact the company myself I don't think they would have bothered.

Wow what a day Leticia started with supers communication before the trip & things only got better once we met. Her joyful personality & knowledge were just fantastic. I had a great experience. We tried a lot of different wines in two places, and I especially liked the cheese. My guide Cotlin was friendly and knowledgeable. I had a blast with her!

This experience was 5/5 for me. My accommodation was in central Cape Town, and Raheem picked me up and took me all the way out to Stellenbosch. Our drive over was both fun with personal conversation, but also deep in history about townships or anything that we passed. Our first wine stop had six wine tastings— 3 white and 3 red— paired with amazing cheese. Our second, we got to watch the sunset while we tasted five wines paired with biltong. Raheem knew exactly what he was doing and was so knowledgeable about everything in Cape Town. Do recommend as a fun afternoon or morning trip.

We did a 2 week tour to S Africa, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe . This tour was rated a 5 star because of the guide/driver . Check out my reviews of the other tours . The driver/guide was very punctual, prompt, safe, a wealth of information, humorous and a great model to S Africans . Leticia was her name. We greatly enjoyed our tour and her company as she ensured that we enjoyed ourselves , was a safe driver and made us feel good (though we were probably high) from the vineyard tours . This was a classic example of a great small group tour that I will highly recommend .

We had a wonderful drive to the vineyards. We tasted so many delicious South African wines. They have special grapes and processing techniques that make their wines unique. Each Sommelier provided enlightening details about each tasting. Our guide did a fabulous job giving information about the area outside of Cape Town too. Highly recommend!!
