Een geweldige kennis van Bath met meer dan 20 jaar als gids. De route omvat The Abbey Green van Sally Lunn, het Werelderfgoedcentrum en The Abbey volledig uitgelegd. De oude Oostpoort van de stad. De Pulteney Bridge & River Avon (boottochten) De Guildhal-markt en de oude, prachtige steegjes van Bath. Buiten de oude stadsmuur begon begin 18e eeuw de Georgische sector van Bath. We zien Queen Square, passeren het Jane Austen-centrum en het Huis van Frankenstein naar de Assembly Rooms waar ze de hele nacht dansten. Op naar The Circus, mijn favoriete gedeelte van Bath (woonde daar als student) en op naar het nummer 1 adres in Bath The Royal Crescent met al zijn geschiedenis- en filmsets. We keren terug door het Royal Victoria park met zijn prachtige bloemenpracht en passeren ons uitstekende Theatre Royal. We eindigen bij The Bath Thermae, onze nieuwe badattractie, volledig geïnformeerd over Bath, zodat u de vrijheid heeft om verder te verkennen. Beginnend buiten The Abbey Hotel vlakbij de oude stadsmuur. De Bath Abbey, Romeinse baden en pompkamers uitgelegd (TOEGANG NIET INBEGREPEN) We passeren het oudste huis en de theewinkel van Sally Lunn's Bath. De Pulteney-brug en Guildhall-markt. We verkennen de oude middeleeuwse steegjes van Bath die naar de oude stadsmuur leiden Vanaf hier kunnen we Georgian Bath goed verkennen met Queen Square, The Circus met Assembly Rooms voordat we John Woods meesterwerk The Royal Crescent bewonderen. Veel geweldige fotomomenten beschikbaar onderweg Een wandeling bergafwaarts langs het Jane Austen Centre & Bath Thermae brengt ons terug naar de abdij waar de tour zou eindigen. Alle beroemde mensen uit de 18e eeuw, zoals zovelen genoemd, trokken in die tijd door Bath. Veel van deze hebben de moderne wereld van vandaag beïnvloed. Despite the cold and non-stop rain, we had a really interesting walk/talk with Paul yesterday. He's very knowledgeable about all things Bath and we learned and saw a lot that we would have completely missed.

We had a fantastic tour of Bath with Paul. It was extra special as it was just with me, my wife and son. Even though it was a small group for Paul he still gave us his full attention.
