Tegenungan Waterfall is een van de beroemde bezienswaardigheden in Bali, de schoonheid van de waterval wordt niet alleen een attractie voor binnen- en buitenlandse toeristen, ook lokale mensen bezoeken deze waterval vaak. Om Tegenungan Waterfall te bereiken, moet je 172 trappen afdalen. Onderweg vindt u een openbaar bad dat door lokale mensen wordt gebruikt en dat is verdeeld in twee afzonderlijke gebieden, voor mannen en vrouwen. De waterbron van dit openbare bad is heel helder en schoon, hier kun je de Beji-tempel ook zelfreinigend vinden. De bewoners van Tegenungan beheren, onder toezicht van de lokale banjar, deze waterval.
Tegalalang rijstterras dat volgens de geschiedenis werd doorgegeven door een gerespecteerde heilige man genaamd Rsi Markandeya in de achtste eeuw. Tegalalang vormt de drie meest prachtige terrasvormige landschappen in de gedeelde regio Ubud, met de anderen in de dorpen Pejeng en Campuhan. Tegalalang Rice Terrace alleen heeft een uitzicht dat zich vóór u uitstrekt en weg naar de rijstterrassen op de hellingen over de vallei.
Goa Gajah-tempel of Elephant Cave Temple is een archeologische vindplaats met een belangrijke historische waarde die het een bijzondere plek maakt om te bezoeken. Goa Gajah-tempel dateert uit de 11e eeuw en is gebouwd als een spirituele plek voor meditatie. Het hoofdterrein bevindt zich op een steenworp afstand van de weg en de parkeerplaats, die is bekleed met verschillende kunst- en souvenirwinkels en kiosken met verfrissingen. Bij het bereiken van de basis kom je een grote Wantilan of een vergaderzaal tegen en een assortiment van grote oude stenen beelden, sommige gerestaureerd in hun vroegere volle glorie.
Ubud Monkey Forest beslaat 27 weelderig groene hectares aan de onderkant van het Jalan Monkey Forest in het dorp Padangtegal. De thuisbasis van meer dan 400 langedarmige makaken (Macaca fascicularis) die zijn verdeeld in 4 groepen die verschillende delen van het park bezetten, het is een belangrijke culturele en spirituele site die maandelijks meer dan 10.000 bezoekers verwelkomt. The Monkey Forest Sanctuary is in feite eigendom van en wordt beheerd door het dorp Padangtegal. Dorpsleden dienen een bestuursraad die probeert de integriteit van het terrein te handhaven en het te promoten als een toeristische bestemming.
Ubud Royal Palace of Puri Saren Ubud is een van de meest prominente plekken in Ubud, want het is pal aan de hoofdweg Jalan Raya Ubud en de kruising. En er zijn ook kunstvoorwerpen in de vorm van schilderijen en zilver die hier verkocht worden met artikelen van zeer goede kwaliteit. Als je zou kunnen zeggen dat het handwerk dat hier wordt verkocht erg compleet is en dat elke winkel verschillende items verkoopt, zodat je vrij rond kunt lopen door het complex van deze Ubud Art Market, van de ene winkel naar de andere om op zoek te gaan naar handwerk en souvenirs.

We booked the Ubud VW Private Tour, and it was such a fun and relaxing way to explore Ubud! My husband and I were picked up right from our hotel and visited the Tegalalang Rice Terrace, a waterfall, the Monkey Sanctuary, and the Ubud Market. All entrance fees were included, which made everything seamless. There were optional extras like the Bali swings and ziplining at the rice terrace for an additional cost. Lunch was also included at a beautiful restaurant with scenic views, and it ended up being some of the best food we had during our entire trip. Our driver was very kind and accommodating, letting us spend as much time as we wanted at each stop, which made the day feel relaxed and unrushed. Just note that this experience is more of a private driver tour than a guided tour — the driver doesn’t provide commentary but handles all logistics perfectly. Overall, a smooth, enjoyable day and a great way to see Ubud’s highlights at your own pace!

We had an excellent time! Special thanks to Dewa our driver, he was great fun. We had lots of rain to start but Dewa was well prepared and it was actually all part of the experience. The car does have a roof so we did not get soaked. Once the sun came out the roof came down and we got to enjoy the cool breeze and scenic views. The stops were brilliant with lots to see and explore. If you want to see lots of items on your list in one easy day then this is ideal. Would definitely recommend.
