Tweedaags Sun Moon Lake & Alishan Forest Park Tour Package

This private tour was the highlight of our trip. David is a true gem, filled with interesting stories and information about the history of the area. He had a great sense of humor and very personable and spoke English well. Thank you David! We all had a fantastic time!

We would like to thank David for being our guide for the past few days. He is very passionate about introducing the best of Taiwan to the world, is very professional, and our kids love him! He brought us to all the best places that cater to our preferences: nicest spots for photos, best local restaurants, most child-friendly places. He even brought us a very sweet custard apple and bought cute toys for our kids! We are really thankful for having him help us during this trip. We would definitely highly recommend him if you are planning to travel to Taiwan.

I would classify this package as a scam. First of all, there was no private guide. The provider hired a charter driver to drive me to the two destinations in the morning of my trip; second, the driver is not a licensed tour guide. He wasn't even given the iternary as advertised. He was told to drive me to those locations. The driver was kind enough to show me some places that he knows of. Third, 3.5 hours from Taipei to the lake, another 3.5 from the lake to Alishan, then 5.5 hours from Alisan back to Taipei. That left 2 hours for Alisan! No way all the advertised agenda could fit in even the driver had been given the agenda. The cost for this nonexistent tour with private guide is about three times higher than the charter service.

Our driver/guide was named Randy, and he was very nice. He picked us up at our hotel, and since it was the day we arrived, let us rest (even offering me a pillow) in the car. He told us the history of Sun Moon Lake, showed us a restaurant to try President Fish and took us to a lovely church and temple. He dropped us off at our hotel and picked us up early to take us to Alishan. He was an expert driver, driving to Alishan is very windy, and took us to a quick restaurant which served beef noodles. He showed us exactly what to do to find the train to Alishan and drove us back to our hotel in Taipei. He also did a fantastic job of taking photos of my husband and I. If you want to start off your trip to Taiwan basking in nature and calm, I suggest this trip. It's so much easier with a driver than trying to take the train or bus on your own.

David is the best Tour guide in Taiwan. We feel very safe wandering around Taiwan knowing David's with us. Humor, Intelligence and Life lessons is a plus besides the stories and myths of the places that we visited. Thank you David!

Booked a 3-day trip with David and it was the best decision ever! He was the cutest and awesome tour guide we never could have imagined. Bought us wet apple and guide us all through the way. Gave us free financial advice and made us laugh from time to time. He knows what's best to do with the time and will tell you the history behind all these attractions.
