Turijn : Wandeltocht met kleine groep langs de hoogtepunten van de stad
Beschrijving
Sluit je aan bij onze 2 uur durende rondleiding: je ontdekt de twee zielen van Turijn, gesymboliseerd door de iconische bezienswaardigheden en verborgen juweeltjes. Onze rondleiding begint op het historische Piazza CLN, waar verhalen over het verleden en de betoverende "Tweelingfonteinen" het toneel vormen voor wat ons te wachten staat. Van daaruit dwalen we door het elegante Piazza San Carlo, versierd met het majestueuze ruitermonument van Emmanuel Philibert. Stap binnen in de elegante omhelzing van Galleria San Federico, waar moderniteit en traditie samenkomen in een symfonie van schoonheid. Bewonder het UNESCO-werelderfgoed Piazza Carignano en de voormalige tuinen van het Carignano-paleis. Vervolgens verkennen we het historische Piazza Carlo Alberto en de bruisende sfeer van Galleria Subalpina. Onze tour leidt ons vervolgens naar het hart van de stad, Piazza Castello, waar de grandeur van Palazzo Reale, Palazzo Madama en de an Lorenzo-kerk op je wachten. Uiteindelijk eindigt onze reis voor de iconische Mole Antonelliana, het symbool van Turijn.

De tour start vanaf Piazza CLN, waar de gids je al interessante anekdotes zal vertellen over de geschiedenis ervan en de twee "Tweelingfonteinen".
Je stopt eerst op Piazza San Carlo, waar je het Ruitermonument van Emmanuel Philibert ziet en je zult praten over het plein, dat wordt beschouwd als de 'salon' van de stad, vooral vanwege de aanwezigheid van oude en elegante coffeeshops
Galleria Subalpina is een andere belangrijke galerij in Turijn met verschillende commerciële gebouwen. Het is geïnspireerd op de typische Parijse passages en bedoeld voor de burgerlijke vrijetijdsbesteding.
Vervolgens wandelt u door Galleria San Federico, gekenmerkt door zijn elegante en prestigieuze structuur. Tegenwoordig herbergt het winkels, juweliers, professionele ateliers... maar de geschiedenis ervan is allemaal te ontdekken!
Vervolg uw bezoek en bereik het geweldige Piazza Carignano en bewonder enkele van de mooiste historische gebouwen, sinds 1997 uitgeroepen tot UNESCO-werelderfgoed. Na Piazza Carignano maakt u een korte stop bij wat ooit de tuinen van Palazzo Carignano waren.
Dit is een van de historische pleinen van de stad, versierd met oude paleizen en het ruiterstandbeeld van Carlo Alberto di Savoia, aan wie het plein zijn naam ontleent.
Je komt dan op Piazza Castello, het echte hart van Turijn, waar je het hebt over de belangrijkste monumenten van de stad, zoals het Palazzo Reale, het Palazzo Madama en de kerk San Lorenzo.
Beëindig je tour met een hoogtepunt en bekijk de prachtige Mole Antonelliana, het ware symbool van de stad.

Our guide, Alessio (Alex), was fantastic. He was mindful of the heat and tried to keep us in the shade as much as possible. He was incredibly informative and fun. And also his English skills were quite excellent, so it was easy to understand him. We saw quite a bit that I am not sure we would have seen otherwise. He also let us know about some things to watch out for while in Turin like aggressive panhandlers. I really appreciated him.

History came alive with the animated gestures and story telling of our knowledgable guide. History paraded before us in the grands palazzi and in front of the « istorico caffés ». Each step of the walking tour seemed a wink of the eye at a Tale of Two Cities with its great moments as well as the incidental habits and choices of its historical figures. Learning about Bicerin, guiduja, popsicles, tramanzino, vermut, and the creators of these local delights provided a rich understanding for further discoveries of the city of Turin.
