Een tour door de drie wijken in het historische centrum van de Sassi met panoramische stops en bezienswaardigheden over de recente geschiedenis van Matera: van nationale schande tot een stad die wereldwijd bekend en gewaardeerd wordt. De tour duurt ongeveer een uur en in deze tijd kunnen bezoekers het Piano-gebied bekijken, d.w.z. het gedeelte achter de Sassi, en de historische locaties vanuit een ander perspectief leren kennen. Het Piano-gebied is eigenlijk het eerste bebouwde gebied direct na de Sassi aan het begin van de Renaissance. Geef bij speciale verzoeken je gewenste vertrektijd op!

A really nice and fun way to get your bearings in Matera. Recommended for when you first arrive. Gets you out of the direct heat of the day for an hour and the tour guide had some really interesting insights into Matera's history as well as current life in the town.

Brilliant tour, wished it was longer but the grid was very friendly and knowledgeable. He also recommended other bits to do in the area which we did. Highly recommend this tour. It’s a great way of seeing the sights without having to walk in the heat.

Vito was already ready for our departure and gave us a wonderful and relaxing tour of the city and told in good English many details about the history of the city and the sassi. Stopped at a few places to look at things and take pictures. Great!
