Workshop Tsumami Zaiku (Kanzashi) maken in Abeno Osaka

Beschrijving

Great hands on experience. The workshop was well run and lots of fun. Our daughter really enjoyed it, and is taking the skills home to practice.
Magical and joyful Japanese arts and crafts experience! My mom, sister and I went during our first trip to Japan to this delightful Kanzashi workshop nestled a top a darling neighborhood cafe in the Abeno Ward. The cafe is in traditional Japanese style architecture. Our sensei Misa was wonderful and guided our hands to each make a beautiful kanzashi with our own handpicked colors and patterns. We were first greeted by June and Ami who were lovely and kept bringing us refreshments and treats like matcha and sweets. We bought several handmade earrings and more elaborate kanzashi after the class, and our looking forward to returning for another class and to see our new friends!! 🌸💕
Amazing!! The location is this old building that showcases lots of traditional woodwork. It also smelt so nice from the front incense that was burning. The Sensei was fantastic and everyone in our group of six completed a kanzashi. It was a fun activity and if you want a chill cultural experience in a very unique building I’d recommend this. It’s really cool you get to make your own hair clip to keep too.
We had a large group of six people attend this class. It was a wonderful experience where we learned a bit of history on the art and had step by step instructions on how to fold the petals to make our flower pins. We had an English speaking guide and she stayed with us to interpret the instructor. Everyone was so nice and they answered all our questions. We were also able to buy some already made pieces the instructor had displayed in the shop. Beautiful work and easy to make! Everyone was very happy with this experience and we would do it again or try to continue the craft at home.
The workshop was so much fun!😊 The material for the kanzashi was extremly pretty and I liked how it turned out! The teacher was really knowledgeable and explained it in a way that was easy to follow. The people were really nice and we had a lot of great conversations😊 Thank you a lot for all the lovely chats! 💕We would definitely recommend it!!!
It was a lovely experience, the guide shows you everything and there is also an explaination about the meaning of the activity. The hosts were very welcoming and open-minded! I wouldabsoultely recommend it!
Jun, Ami and Misa-sensei provided a lovely craft workshop! They were all super friendly, accommodating and professional. We had such lovely chats! Misa is a very talented Maker and her instructions on how to create tsumami zaiku were very clear. Her own work, which is on display in the workshop, is also very impressive! It’s a great activity which I highly recommend to book if you’re ever in Osaka! Thank you Misa, Jun and Ami for having me! It was such a pleasure! 10/10!
I had a very nice time learnjng how to make kanzashi. The teacher was very knowledgeable and kind and I learned a lot. The owner of the gorgeous cafe downstairs was also very kind and joined us for a nice chat. And finally, there was a Japanese-English translator who was there to greet me and provided language support. It was a fantastic experience and I really enjoyed learning to make kanzashi and also talking with local Osaka residents.
It was very lovely having you over! Sorry it took a while to respond. It was great meeting you and looking forward to seeing you again soon! Thank you so much!
What a beautiful experience. A skilful, talented teacher. Beautiful matcha tea and sweets plus a kind and helpful translator to make the perfect session!
It was great meeting you! Thank you so much for coming.
The atmosphere of the traditional Japanese house was unique and very intriguing. The Kanzasgi instructor’s teaching style was thorough, and with an interpreter available, I felt no anxiety about making the Kanzashi. While I worked on my kanzashi, they served matcha tea and sweets, which made it a truly wonderful experience.
Sorry for the late response. Thank you so much for booking the experience with us! We hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we loved having you over. We hope to see you again soon!
