Deze tour is ontworpen om een mix van begeleide ontdekking en persoonlijke vrijheid te bieden, met onderweg veel stops en fotomogelijkheden. Dankzij krachtige elektrische fietsen, ideaal voor elk seizoen, lange afstanden en bergopwaartse routes, is deze ervaring toegankelijk voor de meeste fitnessniveaus. Leer Triëst op een unieke en ontspannen manier kennen tijdens een e-biketour die geschiedenis, natuur en iconische architectuur samenbrengt. De ervaring combineert een begeleide e-biketour met onafhankelijke kasteelbezoeken en is ideaal voor reizigers die houden van culturele bezienswaardigheden, maar er buiten en in een rustig tempo van willen genieten. Let op : Kasteelbezoeken zijn op zichzelf staand. Tijdens de geplande vrije tijd in San Giusto en Miramare zijn gasten van harte welkom om de kastelen zelfstandig in hun eigen tempo te verkennen.

Vertrekkend vanuit de centraal gelegen Elektra Bike shop, reizen we door het hart van de stad. We rijden langs de elegante gebouwen van de wijk Teresiano, gevormd tijdens de Habsburgse tijd.
Tijdens het rijden zie je het grote Piazza Unità d’Italia, een van Europa’s mooiste pleinen aan het water.
Je wordt bergop begeleid naar het kasteel van San Giusto, het middeleeuwse fort dat over de stad waakt. Je hebt vrije tijd om het kasteel op eigen gelegenheid te verkennen of te genieten van een panoramische koffiepauze. (Als u het kasteel wilt bezoeken, kunnen we tickets van tevoren regelen : laat het ons weten!)
We rijden bergafwaarts door het stadscentrum en steken de Porto Vecchio, de historische haven van Triëst, binnen.
We bereiken het spectaculaire Miramare kasteel, ooit de thuisbasis van aartshertog Ferdinand Maximiliaan van Habsburg. Nogmaals, je hebt tijd om over de schaduwrijke paden van het kasteelpark te dwalen, het uitzicht op zee te bewonderen of het kasteel te verkennen.
Op de terugweg maken we een korte stop voor een kopje koffie of gelato!

Unfortunately this tour had half the group that didn’t have any palace nor fort passes…they had to wait for us…not a fair thing to do… The guide was suppose to enter the palace and fort and guide us and did not do so.She did not give explanations in the city and we think she was not a regular guide. The only positive was our guide nevertheless was very nice and communicable. For $250 can per person unfortunately not worth it at all.. A partial reimbursement would be appropriate

As stated in the tour description, visits inside San Giusto and Miramare Castles are designed as independent visits, with free time allocated for guests to explore at their own pace (“You’ll have free time to explore the castle on your own”). The guide accompanies guests during the bike tour itself, while castle interiors are not part of the guided portion of the experience. As this is a small-group tour, guests may choose different options when booking, including whether or not to include entrance tickets to the castles. During the scheduled free time at each stop, participants are welcome either to visit the castles or simply enjoy the surroundings, relax, or have a coffee break. That said, we truly value your feedback, as it helps us understand how we can make the experience and expectations even clearer for future guests. We wish you all the best in your travels.

Trieste is so beautiful and this was a such a fun way for us first-time visitors to see it!! We didn’t expect to like it so much, tbh! Also loved the ebikes, they made the tour very easy, even going uphill, and the gelato was just the perfect break! Loved it, loved it, loved it!

I absolutely loved every minute of this tour. The bikes were super easy to handle, even for me (I hadn't ridden a bike in years!), and the castles were great. We only had one day in Trieste and we loved it! 🤩
