Onze tour begint op het prachtige Piazza Duomo, gemakkelijk te voet bereikbaar vanaf het treinstation! Zelfs in de Romeinse tijd en de middeleeuwen was dit het kloppende hart van de stad Trent, en er staan verschillende belangrijke gebouwen.
De kerk is gewijd aan de beschermheilige van de stad, St. Vigilius, en staat precies op zijn graf. De kathedraal werd gebouwd in de 11e eeuw en heeft verschillende gotische en barokke elementen.
Een van de belangrijkste straten van de stad, die met zijn fresco's en kleine winkeltjes links en rechts de ware geest van de stad uitstraalt. Het is over het algemeen een rustige straat, ook perfect voor een wandeling na de lunch!
We zijn nu aangekomen op het plein Santa Maria Maggiore, waar de gelijknamige kerk staat. We gaan het verkennen en praten over het beroemde "Concilie van Trente".
Kasteelmuseum Buonconsiglio, een van de mooiste kastelen van Trentino. Dit kasteel is een waar symbool van de eeuwenoude macht van de prins-bisschoppen van Trentino, die het vanaf 1255 als hun residentie kozen. Toegangsprijs: € 10
Piazza Fiera is, zoals de naam al doet vermoeden, al sinds de 14e eeuw het toneel van de stadsmarkt. Vandaag de dag kun je nog steeds een deel van de 13e-eeuwse muren zien die Trent vanaf dit plein beschermden.

Starting with the positive: this tour lists the important sites and provides a route that's easy to follow, including photos to make sure you're in the right place. On the downside, the descriptions were not any better than what we could get from AI and based on the bullet point comparisons made me wonder if it was at least in part AI generated. With the exception of a line or two, it did not seem personal at all and did not seem to be written by someone with a personal understanding of the city. I can't say for certain that the audio was text-to-speech, but it sure sounded like it. All that said, it still adds value for the price since the logistics are planned for you and a transcript of the audio is provided.

No installation of an app necessary, The depth and detail of the tour is absolutely sufficient and makes you want to dive deeper in some places.

Ci dispiace leggere questa recensione anche perchè non abbiamo ricevuto nessuna richiesta di assistenza da parte vostra (e in genere siamo molto reattivi a rispondere tramite whatsapp/mail). L'accesso avviene tramite link e password presenti nel voucher. In più si riceve una mail la sera prima dell'esperienza e tutte le istruzioni vengono riportate anche in un messaggio whatsapp. Spero che questa risposta possa aiutare altri viaggiatori.
