Ga mee op onze 8-9 uur durende wandeltocht naar het uitzichtpunt Base Torres, onder begeleiding van gecertificeerde experts. Ontdek de schoonheid van Nationaal Park Torres del Paine tijdens een uitdagende wandeling die bekendstaat om zijn landschappen en het iconische uitzicht op de drie granieten torens. We beginnen vroeg, met een ophaalservice tussen 06:15 en 07:00 uur om naar het park te gaan. Na een reis van twee uur begonnen we aan de wandeling door de oude brug over de Asencio-rivier over te steken. We komen aan bij Camping El Chileno, omgeven door lengabomen en de berg Almirante Nieto. Vervolgens klimmen we naar het uitkijkpunt op 700 meter boven zeeniveau, waar het pad zwaarder wordt. Eindelijk bereikten we Base Torres, met een spectaculair uitzicht op de Torres, Peineta en Nido de Cóndores. We hebben dan tijd om uit te rusten en van de lunchbox te genieten. De terugreis volgt dezelfde route naar het voertuig dat ons terugbrengt naar Puerto Natales. Een onvergetelijke ervaring in het hart van Patagonië.

Loop langs het pad naar een oude brug die de rivier de Asencio kruist. Na 1 uur wandelen komen we aan op Camping El Chileno, om later aan te komen op Base Las Torres aan de oostkant van de lagune, vanwaar we een spectaculair uitzicht hebben op de drie torens en de heuvels Peineta en Nido de Cóndores.

- Niet geschikt voor mensen met heup-, been- en knieproblemen.
- Passagiers moeten in een goede fysieke conditie verkeren om 8 tot 9 uur achter elkaar bergop en bergaf te kunnen lopen, met korte pauzes tussendoor.
- Het wordt afgeraden om deel te nemen aan deze activiteit als u niet in goede fysieke conditie bent en niet gewend bent aan trektochten, aangezien de kans groot is dat u het uitzichtpunt niet bereikt.

Be aware that you will be trekking with our people of various skill and physical capabilities. Our hike started at 9:00 am. Our guide, Rodrigo, was very thorough in explaining the route and the times it should take from start to base camp, to summit. I finished at 5:05 pm. The hiker finally struggled in at 10:00 pm. So, a 5 hour wait. I'm 67 years old, and the oldest in the group by decades. I think the tour should have target points along the way, and if the hiker is doesn't make the point, they should be turned back. Proficient hikers should not have to wait for more than an hour or so.
Quite an intense 8 hour hike, we got to experience all sorts of weather with sun, wind, rain and snow. Be sure ot wear hiking boots and various clothing layers. Welcome center and camping half-way accept card payments for food/drinks
Service provided is perfect, irretrievable... Punctual with schedule, provide necessary equipment for security such as, lantern, sticks, crampons and polaines.
Amazing experience. The guides very friendly, the environment very cared for and without trash. It's a demanding tour but it's worth a lot
It’s a full day, 21 k round trip. You pass through a forest, look down into a river gorge, and, if you’re lucky, get a stunning view of the towers across a glacial lake. A shout out to our fantastic guide, Lorena.
The mountain and trail itself is phenomenal. Definitely an epic trek of a lifetime. Don't bother with a guide for the base trek. Out guide left us and 3/4 of ou group in the dust within 5 minutes of the start and lost us on the way down. Trail and Park is well established and marked. Park entrance fee is an incremental cost anyway so your cost is really just for transportation and someone who reads facts you can look up on Wikipedia
