Dit is de korte versie van de Traditionele Inca Trail, Het is voor mensen die niet genoeg tijd of goede fysieke omstandigheden hebben. Deze route naar Machu Picchu begint bij Km 104, waar je het kunt bereiken door de trein te nemen vanaf Ollantaytambo. Dit is een trekking van 14 km die je langs de prachtige andes- en junglelandschappen voert, onderweg de ongelooflijke archeologische vindplaatsen bezoekt en eindigt in Machu Picchu bij de zonnepoort. Later kunt u overnachten in een hotel in Aguas Calientes. De tweede dag bezoek je Machu Picchu goed met de reis Gids en keer je vervolgens terug naar Cusco met de trein en vervolgens met de auto.

DAG 1: CUSCO - KORTE INCA TRAIL - MACHUPICCHU Om 04:30 uur halen we je op van het hotel in Cusco om je naar het treinstation van Ollantaytabo te brengen, waar je de trein neemt naar de Km 104, het startpunt van onze trektocht. Vanaf de archeologische vindplaats "Chachabamba" (2250 meter boven zeeniveau) klimmen we in ongeveer twee en een half uur naar de fascinerende archeologische vindplaats "Wiñaywayna" (2650 meter hoog) waar we zullen genieten van onze smakelijke lunchbox. In de middag volgen we het semi-tropische bos naar de "Intipunku" (de Zonnepoort) waar we kunnen genieten van het eerste panoramische uitzicht op de majestueuze "Machu Picchu". Vanaf hier dalen we af naar de citadel van Machu Picchu en nemen vervolgens de bus naar Aguas Calientes of Machu Picchu-stad, en brengen comfortabel de nacht door in het geselecteerde hotel in Aguas Calientes.
DAG 2: MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO Deze dag word je heel vroeg wakker en na het ontbijt stappen we om 05.30 uur in de eerste bus. Je maakt een reis van 30 minuten om Machu Picchu om 6.00 uur te bereiken en de majestueuze zonsopgang op Machu Picchu te waarderen (afhankelijk van de weersomstandigheden en seizoen). Daarna bezoek je Machu Picchu met de gids en bezoek je de belangrijkste plaatsen zoals de Inti Watana, de Tempel van de Condor, het centrale plein, de heilige rots en anderen, Op een geschikt moment daal je af van Machu Picchu naar de stad Aguas Calientes. In de middag stap je op de trein terug naar Ollantaytambo, waar onze medewerkers wachten om je naar de stad Cusco te brengen. Geschatte tijd om in Cusco aan te komen van 7.00 tot 21.00 uur

We did the short Inca Trail with Marisol. She was really sweet, knowledgeable and patient with me and my mom (it was her dream trip). We cant thank enought to Marisol for everthing I recomend her to everyone doing the inca trail.
Had a great trip. We did the two day Inca trail. We spent the night before in Ollantaytambo to avoid the 3am departure from Cuzco. The hiking was fantastic. We visited to sets of ruins before getting to Machu Picchu. All trip details were well organized and we had a fantastic guide. Ask for Marizol.
All very well, we had excellent service, quick communication with Katheryn Vargas accompanied by a golden guide, Marizol. Our Guide Jaime David made our experience an unforgettable one. We could appreciate detail by detail every ruin, mountain, flora, fauna, history, culture, everything! The Inca Trail was an excellent experience, and Machupicchu was everything you would expect. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience the complete package!
Jaime David was the best of the best to guide my boyfriend and I on this amazing 2 days Inca Trail experience. The trail was not easy but Jaime was very thoughtful and patient throughout the trip making sure we watch out all the obstacles on the way. He was also very knowledgeable of the culture, the history, the terrain, the vegetation, and a great photographer. I’m very happy with the tour, I feel we were totally informed of every detail from transportation, entrance tickets, food, every stop on the way including the cleanest bathrooms, and everything was very well organized. I totally recommend this agency and Jaime David as the guide if you want to have a great experience without any worries.
We have done the tour with Jordhy, it has been wonderful, the route is hard but highly recommended, it is very worth getting off at km 104, we will repeat as soon as we can!!!

I had the guided 2 day one night tour of inca trail then Machu Picchu with liberty travels April 2023. It was just me and my tour guide Nemias. And he was amazing! I do walk alot but I've never done this kind of uphill hiking especially with a backpack but I was looking forward to the experience. Nemias was kind, professional, and understanding. As a girl alone I felt guided safely with no concerns. He held my backpack for me when he realized I was struggling for most of the Trail which made a world of a difference. I greatly appreciated that. And his willingness to go slowly and take breaks, enjoy the view, take tons of pictures for me. I greatly appreciated his efforts, professionalism, and kindness. I would recommend him to anyone, no doubts! Also it's a mind-blowing experience and totally worth doing the inca trail. Unforgettable experience for me.
