Wij zijn 100% Oaxacaans en nemen u mee op een tour om Oaxaca in één dag te ontdekken en verkennen. We zullen een tour vol cultuur, geschiedenis, kunst en gastronomie hebben. We bezoeken 6 bijzondere plekken: - De eeuwenoude Tule-boom in Santa María el Tule. - De versteende watervallen van Hierve el agua. - De archeologische zone van Mitla, we bezoeken de plek met een gecertificeerde gids. - Een buffetrestaurant dat traditionele, lokale gerechten serveert. - Een ambachtelijke mezcalfabriek. - Het huis van een wollen tapijtenmaker in Teotitlán del Valle.

We bezoeken de beroemde Tule-boom en vertellen met onze gids wat over de geschiedenis ervan. Hij vertelt ons waarom deze boom zo belangrijk en beroemd is. Neem contant geld mee voor tickets of toegang.
We bezoeken het stadje Roagia, waar de versteende watervallen van Hierve el Agua zich bevinden. Daar hebben we 2 vrije uren om te wandelen, te genieten van het uitzicht en de natuurlijke zwembaden. Neem contant geld mee voor tickets of toegang.
We stoppen voor de lunch in een restaurant met een buffet met traditionele Oaxacaanse gerechten. Neem contant geld mee voor eten en drinken.
We bezoeken de thuiswerkplaats van een meestervakman die zich toelegt op de productie van textiel of wollen stukken. We leren over de processen die worden uitgevoerd om de bekende wollen tapijten te maken, van spinnen, pigmenten en weven.
We bezoeken de archeologische zone van Mitla. De rondleiding duurt gemiddeld 40 minuten tot 1 uur en wordt geleid door onze gecertificeerde gids. We leren over de geschiedenis van deze plek en genieten van de magie en mystiek van deze gebouwen. Neem contant geld mee voor tickets of toegang.
We bezoeken een fabriek en mezcalwinkel waar we een rondleiding krijgen van het lokale personeel om ons te vertellen over het proces van het produceren van deze traditionele Oaxaca-alcoholische drank. Daarna krijgen we een proeverij van mezcals en mezcalcrèmes.

Excellent tour, one of the best experiences we have had on our trips. Our tour of Hierve el Agua was one of the best; the petrified waterfall is well worth the hike down and up, and the pools are an added value that you can enjoy if you are a fan of the water, as they maintain them without affecting your stay, seeking to provide the best service to visitors. The tour of Mitla was very good, the Mezcal Factory tasting was very good, the Tule Tree was a cool experience, as were the Textiles. In general, very good treatment from everyone toward the tourists. The Continental Istmo Agency fulfilled everything promised; I definitely recommend it.
We booked the activity especially to see Hierve el Agua and it turns out it was under maintenance. Nobody had informed us; if they had, we would not have paid for the excursion.
Definitely I recommend this tour, Hierve el agua is a beautiful place, I wish we could have more time there, but we have to continue with the tour.8
A tour that is definitely worth it! A large part of the experience was thanks to our guide, who did an exceptional job. It is evident that she is from Oaxaca, which adds enormous value to the tour: she knows the history, traditions, and places like only a local could. She shared many interesting facts and answered all the questions with a passion that made the tour even more special. My advice is to listen to her when she says that some activities can be challenging… because she says it for a reason! 😂 At Hierve el Agua, I struggled a bit because my physical condition is not the best, but with some effort, I managed to finish the tour and come out alive. The view and the satisfaction at the end make it all worth it! The itinerary was very well organized: we started at Hierve el Agua, then visited Mitla, enjoyed an excellent meal, continued with a mezcal tasting where we learned a lot about its production and varieties, toured Teotitlán del Valle to see the incredible artisanal work of its rugs, and ended at the majestic Árbol del Tule. Each stop contributed something different, and together they made for a very complete experience to get to know Oaxaca. If you are looking for a well-organized tour, with spectacular places and a guide who truly makes a difference, do not hesitate. I recommend it 100% and would take another tour with them without thinking twice.
A must-do tour! From the petrified waterfalls of Hierve El Agua to the majestic archaeological site of Mitla, each stop was a window into the history and nature of Oaxaca. The Oaxacan buffet was a feast of authentic flavors, and the discussions about mezcal and textiles in Teotitlán del Valle immersed us in the local culture in a deep and close way. Not to forget the imposing Tule Tree, which leaves you speechless. All of this guided by Zenón and Rocío, who combine knowledge, charisma, and human warmth in an exceptional way. Their professionalism and enthusiasm transformed every moment into a memory that I will treasure. 100% recommended for those who want to truly experience Oaxaca!
