The guides were very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient!
It was awsome, great tour guide.
Great and easy tour to see the combined highlights of many other tours. I’m very glad I picked this one. It’s a long day but the guides and driver were all great. Small van with a cozy and friendly energy. Lots of opportunities for bathroom breaks and a very delicious lunch. Would recommend bringing some snacks as well. No pressure to buy anything or drink at the mescal stop.
This is a jam-packed but very well organised tour which includes several must-do activites in Oaxaca. We elected to go straight to the pools at Hierve del Agua rather than doing the hike and I would highly recommend this because it was so quiet when we got there that we almost had the pools to ourselves! The mezcal tasting was incredible (I think we were given 11 different types of Mezcal to try) and we especially loved our guided tour of Mitla and the info the guide shared about the Tule tree/town of Tule. We didn’t catch the name of our guide unfortunately but he was incredible and did a great job managing an at times rather difficult tour group. We were a little sad in the morning to have missed out on some of his guided commentary on the bus ride to the waterfalls (he stopped after someone interrupted him asking to get off the bus). We understood why he didn’t continue as most of the group were visibly disengaged, but we had been enjoying hearing about the local indigenous history of the area!
The tour included everything offered in the description, the guides were very friendly and kept an eye on everything. The van was good size. Boil the water is a beautiful place! And the other activities are also very much enjoyed. It is a long tour and it can be exhausting and even more so if it is hot, but it is very worth it.
We joined this full‑day tour to Hierve el Agua in late April, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Zenon, set the tone right away—friendly, knowledgeable, and generous with information as we made our way to the farthest stop of the day. Starting at Hierve el Agua was a great call. We had two hours to explore on our own, and everyone in the group found something that suited them—some tackled the steep 30‑minute hike to the bottom, while others relaxed in the turquoise pools or enjoyed from under the shade of the sparse trees. Even in the morning it was warm, so I can’t imagine doing this in the afternoon heat. Be sure to use sunscreen throughout the day, bring a hat or umbrella and wear comfortable shoes to walk. From there, we continued to Mitla. It’s smaller than Monte Albán, but worth visiting in its own right. Zenon walked us through the history and symbolism with so much patience and depth, and he made sure to answer every question. Lunch was a buffet with plenty of options. It was tasty, though quite busy with other tour groups. Afterward, we visited a family‑run wool rug workshop. Zenon translated as they explained their traditional rug‑making process, which was fascinating to see up close. The highlight of the day for us was the artisanal mezcal tasting. Alvaro, who guided us through the production process and tasting, was charismatic, engaging, and knowledgeable. We ended up buying several bottles from their shop—great quality and much better prices than what we saw in the city. Our final stop was the famous 2,000‑plus‑year‑old Tule Tree. Zenon shared its history, and we had a quiet moment to take in just how extraordinary it is. Overall, we were genuinely impressed by the variety of experiences packed into one day and by the care and expertise of the team. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.
This is a spectacular tour and a must if you're in Oaxaca. Our tour guide was excellent. Very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very organised. We left this lovely town knowing so much more than when we arrived. We visited many places, all wonderful and informative, our tour guide was very good at keeping us informed as to where and when we would be picked up which made it very easy for us. We would fully recommend this tour.
A super complete tour. We really enjoyed it. It is a long but super complete tour. We enjoyed ourselves to the fullest. ✨🫶🏽❤️🙏🏽☺️
This was a well-organized full day tour that included many experiences a first-time tourist wouldn't want to miss. Bring water, hat, grippy shoes, swimsuit, sunscreen and a snack. For me, 30 minutes more at Hierve would have been better. It is a stunning site and deserved more time. Two hours seems like a lot but another half hour would have been perfect. Mitla was worthwhile (not as amazing as Monte Alban), but still very good. The buffet lunch was a good value and tasty. The mezcal tasting: it was very interesting to learn the process from plant to product. We tasted many styles of mezcal. The visit to Teotitlan for the rug-making demonstration was remarkable for its labor intensive handmade process. Seeing how the dye colors come from plants, nut shells and the cochineal insect was very cool. Ofc, the rugs are for sale, but there is no pressure to buy. Lastly, the Tule tree was very impressive! The town has protected this natural treasure, surrounding it with lovely gardens and the adjacent church is also very pretty. Our tour guide, Xenon, added a lot of value with his knowledge of the sites and his description of how these Oaxacan towns organize their communities was an added bonus. He even spoke to us in his native Zapotec language a little to hear what it sounds like! You get a lot done in one day and it was a great experience overall!
Great tour with absolutely amazing guide He explained everything perfectly, was funny, open-minded and animating
