Tour door de mangroven en bezoek de minst verkende hoeken van het eiland, aan boord van een dubbele kajak met een tweetalige en gecertificeerde lokale gids. We had an incredible sunrise kayak tour through the mangroves with Holboxtreme, guided by Ivan. Ivan’s knowledge of the local flora and fauna was outstanding and really brought the whole experience to life. Paddling at dawn, we were lucky enough to see flamingos for the first time, along with juvenile crocodiles, crabs, and a wide range of bird species. The small group size (just one other couple) made it feel very personal and peaceful—no crowds, just nature at its best. A truly memorable experience and one we’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Holbox.
I did two tours with UnEx during my stay in Holbox, and they were both brilliant. Ivan, our guide, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and went the extra mile to make the experience special. This sunrise tour was super relaxing... we began by paddling along the coastline to the mangroves while the sun rose over the water. The only sounds were birds chittering and the lapping of waves onto the shore. Our guide, Ivan, pointed out a few species and shared interesting information. Highlights of the day were seeing one flamingo flying overhead and spotting a crocodile.
Lovely tour with good guide. We did the tour at sunset and saw some crocodile birds that flamingo among other things. Nice environment and peaceful in the mangrove swamp.
Great guys. Locals who really know about the environment and history. Thoroughly enjoyed our time. We’ll be booking them again next time we’re in Holbox. We saw flamingos, crocodiles, osprey, and so much more. Holbox is magnificent and these guys are part of the magic.
