Therefore, the additional fee is set directly by that organization and is paid separately. All the services and activities included in the package you purchased were provided exactly as described in the itinerary. Regarding the accommodations, it is important to note that most properties in Tortuguero are nature lodges. This type of accommodation is designed to provide an authentic rainforest experience while blending harmoniously with the surrounding environment. As such, it is not customary for lodges of this nature to offer air conditioning, as their design and operation reflect the unique characteristics of the destination and its commitment to sustainability.
