National Park Shuttles is de enige Manawhenua-operator gevestigd in Waimarino en biedt betrouwbare vervoersdiensten vanuit de enige beveiligde parkeerfaciliteit gunstig gelegen aan State Highway 46 aan het einde van de Ketetahi-spoorweg. Wij bieden een stressvrije ervaring door u veilig te laten parkeren voordat u aan uw reis begint. We brengen je van de privéparkeerplaats naar het begin van de trektocht (Mangatepopo). Je kunt zo snel of zo langzaam wandelen als je wilt. Geen wachttijden voor een shuttle bij de finish als je snel bent. Niet rennen voor je shuttle als je langzaam bent. Aan het einde van de trektocht kom je aan op de 4 uur durende parkeerplaats Ketetahi. U loopt vanaf daar nog 900 meter, terug naar waar uw auto geparkeerd staat. Wees gerust dat niemand ooit achterblijft!

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
De enige privéparkeerplaats. Dit is NIET PARKEREN AAN DE KANT VAN DE WEG van HWY46. Als u vanuit Taupo Turangi reist, zorg er dan voor dat u HWY 1 neemt en de HWY46 (Nationaal Park) oprijdt. Het duurt ongeveer 20 minuten om de parkeerplaats te bereiken. Het eigenlijke bord staat aan de linkerkant van de weg en zegt 'TONGARIRO SHUTTLE CAR PARK'. Als u vanuit National Park Village reist, neemt u HWY 47, reist u ongeveer 25 tot 30 minuten over deze weg en slaat u vervolgens rechtsaf naar HWY 46 (Rangipo). Vanaf daar duurt het ongeveer 10 minuten om de parkeerplaats te bereiken. Het ligt op 400 meter van de ingang van het Ketetahi-circuit (ga niet die weg af). U dient uiterlijk 15 minuten vóór vertrektijd op de parkeerplaats aanwezig te zijn. Het personeel staat op de parkeerplaats om u in te checken. Toon uw bevestiging.

You can arrive 20minutes early to the carpark and you are allowed to hope on any shuttle which comes first even it’s from other agencies. This arrangement is excellent especially during Easter holiday when the waiting queue is long and crowded. I like this arrangement. At the end of the track, you will need to walk to the car park for another 1 km, which is flat and ok.
You walk around the lake about 80 to 90 minutes and pay 4 euros. Last year it was 2 euros. Certainly not again, just rip it off. Incidentally, there are many nice opportunities for walking here since you don't need the Unterbacher See

Epic experience. Shuttles were well organised and on time. Crazy Tracey was the best driver. Very funny and lots of great info. The whole experience was amazing! Bucket list item for sure.
All went as planned, meet at the car park and good local knowledge from our driver..
To make the Alpine Crossing carefree, the round trip transport is more than recommended. Pick up at the start and finish. Were promptly the driver friendly the bus came of age, but completely fulfilled its purpose.
Top service - we camped at the Whakapapa Holiday Park and booked the shuttle service there and back, just from the campsite. Super comfortable, so you can leave the camper standing. It all worked out great 😍.
We arrived early and the driver left promptly when the van filled, so we were able to get on the track a bit earlier than expected. It is more than .5 miles down a dusty road to the car park when you are done this amazing walk. It would be nice if there was a pedestrian walk off the road, or transport back to the lot.
The best shuttle for the Tongariro crossing. Amazing staff and our driver was lovely and shared lots of knowledge about the area. Highly recommended!
