Als je een unieke ervaring in Toledo wilt, die je diepgaand wilt leren kennen en weg van het massatoerisme, nemen we je mee door een historisch centrum vol monumenten en bezienswaardigheden. Onder leiding van een officiële lokale gids ontdekt u de Stad van de Drie Culturen, sinds 1986 op de Werelderfgoedlijst. Kies de monumenten die u wilt bezoeken, op advies van ons, afhankelijk van uw religieuze, culturele of speciale situatievoorkeuren (zoals bezoeken met kinderen, mensen met beperkte mobiliteit...) Geef, indien u dat wenst, aan in welk deel van de stad u de rondleiding het liefst start en eindigt. We bezoeken het hart van de keizerlijke stad Toledo, het historische complex. In onze reisroute bezoeken we de meest karakteristieke straten en pleinen. In de historische wijk zijn er zulke interessante plaatsen als El Alcázar, Plaza de Zocodover, de eerste kathedraal van Spanje, de moskee van Cristo de la Luz, de Joodse wijk, de synagoge van Santa María la Blanca, de synagoge van Transit of het klooster van San Juan de los Reyes. Dit zijn slechts enkele van de bekendste. Bovendien konden we toegang krijgen tot ondergrondse opgravingen die niet toegankelijk zijn voor het grote publiek om een deel van het verborgen Toledo te leren kennen, zoals de islamitische hamam, de Romeinse baden, de middeleeuwse Aljibe (bron), het Joodse rituele bad (Mickvé), enz... We zullen u adviseren op basis van de openingsdagen, -uren, uw smaak en voorkeuren welke plaatsen het meest geschikt zijn om te bezoeken. De voorgestelde volgorde van de reisroute kan variëren als gevolg van het verzamelen van reizigers bij hun accommodatie of waar ze maar willen

Het werd een van de belangrijkste Joodse wijken op het Iberisch schiereiland. Met zijn twee unieke moskeeën zal het je boeien. De steegjes en hoekjes zullen je verliefd maken.
Binnenin herbergt het het meesterwerk van El Greco: The Burial of the Lord of Orgaz. Een van de belangrijkste picturale werken uit de geschiedenis die hier alleen te bewonderen is als nooit eerder in een museum of tentoonstelling geweest.
Juweel van de Sefardische wereld in Toledo. De oude Grote Synagoge van de Joodse wijk van Toledo zal u betoveren met zijn woud van zuilen en hoefijzerbogen.
De laatste synagoge gebouwd in Toledo. Dit 14e-eeuwse gebouw heeft een geweldige decoratie die het uniek maakt in zijn stijl. Het Sefardische museum neemt ons mee naar een ander tijdperk en helpt om de Joodse erfenis in de stad beter te begrijpen.
De belangrijkste constructie van de katholieke vorsten, Isabel en Fernando. Het klooster is een wonder van de laatgotiek. De kerk is bijna een andere kathedraal in Toledo.

Juan Ignacio was incredibly informative and gave us a lovely tour. It was well-paced and organized to avoid the heat of midday. We’d definitely recommend this highly!
Having a personal guide for three hours was a treat while we toured the historical parts of Toledo. Our guide was very well versed in the history of the ancient city. We learned a lot and found the information and sites to be fascinating . There were other places to see but we had reached our saturation point( it was a very hot day) and felt satisfied by all we saw and learned. I would have liked to spend more time looking at El Greco’s art, if I could. . On the day of the tour our guide helped me through an odd situation regarding the actual time for the cathedral tour. I received entry tickets an hour before it was open. I bought them from the actual cathedral office website so the tour agency had nothing to do with the confusion. Our guide took me to see their ticket seller at the Cathedral and he made sure we could get inside evening even though it was an hour plus later than our timed tour. He checked the validity of the tickets and they were authentic and paid for. Why a time was on the sight is the mystery. There was frustration on my part with inadequate communications with the service department of the tour agency. I found the examination of the personally planned tour to be vague. It took too long for me to wrap my might around what our tour would include and tried to get in touch with their customer service agent before our trip, but what I heard back was not satisfactory. I was trying to figure out logistics and our tour choices. It was the day before the date I heard directly from our guide and she further explained and answered my questions. She was very professional and I appreciated it. It was the customer service department’s lack of communication that caused confusion with conflicting information and did not provide specific answers as I requested on several occasions. The private tour was more expensive( twice the amount of the group tour and I wanted to make sure we understood what we would see and learn. In the end I was pleased with the tour but the aggravation before hand could have been eliminated quickly yet it was not. As it was, the personalized aspect of the tour never happened. I tried to gain an understanding of our offerings so I could actually select what we saw. The guide selected what we did and it turned out fine . A general tour of three areas in the city took up our three hour allotment.

Yolanda was a great tour guide. She was on time, presented herself well had a great personality was incredibly knowledgeable about Toledo and I am sure many other locations. Her detail, history was superb and she carries an iPad with up close pictures to describe important details. The passion she has for her profession is clearly what motivates her.
