Reisroute

Toegang inbegrepen

Still had to queue up for...

Still had to queue up for tickets as all I received from you was reference number, so not impressed, as buying tickets online normally gets you into a venue quicker, without the need to queue up with others who wrrr paying on the day

Natural Bliss

Such a spectacular garden. Always worth a visit! And the 1.25-1.5-hour boat ride on the Thames to and fro is also delightful.

Always a lovely place to visit

Always enjoy a visit to Kew. Went to see some of the Henry Moore sculptures situated around the gardens. Lots of people seemed to be doing the same especially with children following the trail around the grounds. Lovey day out in well kept gardens.

Beautiful! Amazing children’s areas.

I was extremely impressed! Not only is this stunning to visit, but the kids play areas are incredibly thoughtful. I loved they had a climbing area for kids aged 7+ and so many areas to explore. The amount of food options and cleanliness of all the facilities were fantastic. I would absolutely come visit again! If I was local I’d be here all the time with my kids!

Lovely gardens but don't recommend the food

My husband and I received a joint membership as gift, and each took a guest. This was our first ever visit and quite a drive for us. However we absolutely loved the gardens and will definitely be back again with guests to get some use out of the membership. Now the negatives - extra charges for parking/going up the pagoda, going on the train ride etc. No member discounts. When there are 4 of you these 'small' additional costs quickly mount up to a very expensive day out. We ate at the Pavillion Bar and Grill which at the time had a member discount offer of 20% off. However, the initial prices were extortionate. E.g. an extra £3.50 to add a small portion of chips to an already pricey burger! The fish and chips were a bit disappointing - a small portion with cold crushed peas (not mushy peas like we would know in the midlands - or are they usually like this in London?!) We also had ice creams - £4.50 for a single scoop - very tiny portion and the ice cream was very melty - they didn't seem to have decent facilities to keep it cold and serve efficiently. On our return visit we shall certainly be bringing a picnic!

Best Botanical Garden Holiday Lights Ever!

Best Botanical Garden Holiday Lights Ever! We have walked through several botanical gardens and zoos in the US to view the holiday lights at night, but Kew Gardens in Richmond stands head and shoulders above the rest, in this writer's opinion. I had visited Kew Gardens in the daytime fifteen plus years ago, and that was lovely, but at night!? Ooh la la. Not only are the lights varied and clever, but the sections of the garden have music, too, to set the ambiance. Some parts are even interactive, if you want to show off your dance moves. The path is clear, clean, and well-lit. This is wheelchair accessible, family friendly, and well worth the reasonable admission price. We did not purchase concessions, but the hot chocolate did look tempting. You need advanced tickets. As such, Kew has crowd control down to a science. I very much appreciated the reasonable crowd size. The flat, paved, wide path described a clear, big oval throughout the park - there's no getting lost nor missing anything. Depending on how many photos you stop for, I would reckon you could walk the path in anywhere from an hour to two hours. My photos hardly do this garden justice, and I highly recommend a visit here during the holiday season for a magical night walk with kids or a romantic night walk with your special someone.

Enjoyable day out

Great day out, plenty to see for all ages. Wear sturdy shoes and enjoy fabulous walks on paths and through the woodland. There are plenty of benches to rest for a while. Refreshments are pricey, so take a picnic and enjoy the shelter of the trees. Can be busy with school children on weekdays, so plan your trip to enjoy the hot houses later in the day or very early, the is so much space in the gardens you won’t notice the school children. It was lovely to see them enjoy the place though.

Fantastic Day

Although we had rain and sun our day couldn't have been any better. Easy to get tickets in entrance, staff helpful. So much to see we have bought admissions for future visits. Cafe and shop good too. Can't wait to return as you can't do it all in one day.

Gardens & Palace were great; staff not so much

Kew Gardens and Palace is a truly unique place and we enjoyed the visit. The staff members we encountered could use a little customer service training, and how to make people feel welcome. We did not :( Young lady in the Palace was a total snot and two employees at front desk of the building housing the Henry Moore exhibit were not friendly at all; there's got to be a better/nicer way of telling visitors to wear their backpacks on the front.
