Een boeddhistische tempel die op de UNESCO-lijst staat en Gyeongju's meest iconische bezienswaardigheid. Bulguksa beschikt over prachtige stenen terrassen, prachtige houten zalen en twee beroemde pagodes - Dabotop en Seokgatap. Gebouwd tijdens het Silla Koninkrijk, biedt het een perfecte mix van geschiedenis, cultuur en natuur, waardoor het een must-visit site is voor beginnende reizigers.
Ontdek Seokguram Grotto, een UNESCO Werelderfgoed en een meesterwerk van oude boeddhistische kunst. Deze 8e-eeuwse kunststenen grot ligt op de berg Tohamsan in Gyeongju en herbergt een serene, majestueuze witte granieten Boeddha die uitkijkt op de Oostzee.
Daereugnwon Tomb Comples is een van Gyeongju's meest indrukwekkende archeologische vindplaatsen, met grote grafheuvels uit het Silla koninkrijk. We had 3 generations on this excursion with our guide, Mimi in Gyeongju, and everyone enjoyed it! My sons, ages 10&17, myself, and the grandmas all learned about the history of the area and experienced wonderful sightseeing. Mimi helped us all feel comfortable throughout the day. Mimi (Yeon) was excellent! She picked us up right from the station in a nice, clean, and roomy van. She was able to get us to all the sites that we wanted to see, and provided us with a lot of history and insight, that we couldn't get just from reading the signs. Because some places were very busy, she ended up dropping us off at the front while she found parking, which was helpful and generous. She was on top of getting tickets and pointing out all of the things that we shouldn't miss. Certainly highly recommend Mimi!

The tour was fantastic. All of the sights were wonderful to see, particularly the Bulguksa Temple and the Seokgurum grotto. Our guide Miyeoung was wonderful; she was very knowledgeable about the historical sights we saw, and able to answer all our questions.

I am glad that I booked this private tour for Gyeongju, as I would not have gained such knowledge about the history and culture if I had visited by myself. Young was a fantastic tour guide, the car was comfortable, I was given a bottle of water, and she took plenty of photos of me (which was helpful as I was travelling solo).
