Proef lokale wijnen en ook gecombineerd met ambachtelijke kazen of seizoensgebonden producten. Verwen uzelf met Fairview's Farmer Tasting terwijl u een selectie van heerlijke wijnen proeft die tot in de perfectie worden gecombineerd met een beleg van kazen. Ga verder naar het schilderachtige stadje Franschhoek om de schoonheid van deze regio te ontdekken aan boord van een vintage stijl spoorwegtram terwijl u geniet van een glas wereldberoemde vino uit de omliggende wijngaarden. Spring op de Franschhoek Wine Tram voor een korte 2 - 5 minuten enkele reis door de wijngaarden naar Rickety Bridge wijnmakerij (of vergelijkbaar) te bereiken voor een standaard wijnproeverij van 3 van hun wijnen. Op de terugweg naar Kaapstad stop je bij een van de oudste wijnboerderijen van Zuid-Afrika, Muratie Winery bij Stellenbosch. Proef hun port-stijl wijnen om de dag af te sluiten met deze zoete proeverij ervaring voor een luie late namiddag rijden terug naar Kaapstad.

-- Let op: deze tour kan worden uitbesteed aan een andere touraanbieder. -- Ontmoet uw gids in uw accommodatie in het centrum van Kaapstad en vertrek vervolgens in een minibus met airconditioning om uw dagtour door de wijnlanden Paarl, Stellenbosch en Franschhoek te beginnen. Onze wijnexperts hebben deze tour op maat ontworpen om u een echt voorproefje van de Kaapse wijnstreek te geven. Proef lokale producten, leer meer over smaakprofielen en jaargangen en geniet van de tijd om achterover te leunen en enkele van de beste Zuid-Afrikanen te proeven met rijen op rijen uitzicht op de wijngaarden. Je dag begint op de zuidwestelijke hellingen van het Paarl-gebergte, waar ongelooflijke uitzichten en een boerenproeverij wachten op het wereldberoemde Fairview Estate. Je combineert ambachtelijke kaas, geproduceerd in de kaasmakerij ter plaatse, met fijne rode en witte wijnen, waardoor je een buitengewone combinatieervaring krijgt in combinatie met de diepgaande kennis van de wijnen die je proeft.
Ga verder naar het schilderachtige stadje Franschhoek om de schoonheid van deze regio te ontdekken aan boord van een vintage stijl treintram terwijl u geniet van een glas wereldberoemde vino uit de omliggende wijngaarden, met één stop bij een lokaal wijndomein - ofwel Rickety Bridge of Plaisir Wine Estate, afhankelijk van de dagelijkse route en beschikbaarheid van de trein. De tramrit duurt meestal ongeveer 5 minuten naar de wijnproeverij boerderij.
Als de wijn vloeit, is het gemakkelijk om een grote eetlust op te wekken, dus het is buiten landweggetjes omzoomd met lommerrijke wijngaarden naar de uitlopers van de Franschhoek-vallei voor een welverdiende lunchstop. Of het nu gaat om de boerenmarkt in het weekend of een zonnig café langs de weg in het oude centrum van Franschhoek - ga gewoon met de stroom mee en geniet van je vrije tijd in de levensgenieterhoofdstad van Zuid-Afrika, met zijn veelheid aan eetgelegenheden. Je hebt tijd om de geschiedenis van deze stad op te snuiven en meer te leren over de Franse Hugenoten die in de zeventiende eeuw arriveerden; blader door de kunstgalerijen en kunst- en ambachtswinkels voor souvenirs langs de hoofdstraat en geniet van een lunch in een broodjeszaak of café op de hoek van de straat.
Wanneer u aankomt op het perron van de lokale wijnmakerij, stapt u uit voor een korte wandeling en wandelt u naar het proeflokaal van de boerderij. De standaardroute stopt meestal bij de historische Rickety Bridge. Ontspan en geniet van een inbegrepen Estate Wine Tasting; genieten van 3 favorieten met een prachtig uitzicht op de vallei als achtergrond. Op dagen dat de Franschhoek Wine Tram-route richting de Simonsberg Mountains gaat, stopt de tram bij het pittoreske Plaisir Wine Estate voor de inbegrepen proeverij om een keuze uit 3 van hun landgoedassortimentwijnen te proeven.
Net ten noorden van Stellenbosch, verscholen in een pittoresk hoekje van de Knorhoek-vallei, ligt Muratie, een van de oudste wijnboerderijen van Zuid-Afrika, die dateert uit 1685. Wijnproeven in het historische Muratie gebeurt in oude uitgehouwen cementgistingstanks voor wijnbereiding. Dit is waar de eerste Pinot Noir in Zuid-Afrika werd gemaakt en de locatie waar u de perfecte proeverij van zoete portwijnen kunt ervaren. Sluit af met een luie rit terug en laat in de middag wordt u afgezet bij uw accommodatie in Kaapstad of Stellenbosch.

I've been in South Africa so many times, and always with Hotspots2c. I've been there on this tour to Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek for 3 times and now was my 4th time and of course it was perfect again. Our guide Uriel I already knew and it was amazing to meet him again with all his patience, friendship, knowledge and i can say that we had lots of funny moments with all group. He's more than perfect!!!!! We've been in 3 amazing wineries and all were perfects and with amazing wines. The first one (Farmview) was my preferred. I can't wait to visit Cape Town again and I'm sure I'll want to be back with Hotspots2c. ❤️🇿🇦📍🤩

We had a wonderful day exploring the winelands with our tour guide Ulrich. Ulrich was really friendly, chatty and knowledgeable – we really enjoyed speaking to him and learning more about the Cape & SA on our journeys to and between tastings. All 3 tastings were really enjoyable and all take place in beautiful surroundings. Getting to go on the wine tram briefly was also a lot of fun. We enjoyed having a brief break at the farmers market which was a great spot to grab some lunch. The whole day was very enjoyable and very well organised – thank you Ulrich for a wonderful day!

I want to start of by saying that we have been beyond happy with any tour that we did with hotspots directly. This one in particular however was outstanding. Not only because the wine lands around Cape Town are just breathtaking but specifically because our tour guide Mr. Nev was not only an incredible tour guide but enriched our experience immensely by firstly being an amazing human to spend time with and also by him just being beyond accommodating and focusing on giving us the best experience ever! He went above and beyond throughout the entirety of the tour and even after - checking if everything went well during our tour the day after (which was not with hotspots directly). We have done many tours and have had many tour guides, but have to say that the ones at hotspot and especially Mr. Nev are outstanding. Additionally, his experience as a tour guide for many years and his immense knowledge about the area and the history of the region and his personal experiences that he so kindly shared with us made the tour even more special! If you get him, you can be assured that you will have the best experience ever since he goes way beyond what his scope as a guide is!

Great door to door service and a fabulous day. Our guide Urial gave us some great local info and took us to some breathtakingly beautiful places. We sampled 3 different wineries as well as a short train and tractor ride. Great value and well organised. Would recommend.

Fairview and Muratie were excellent tastings. The wine tram and Rickety Bridge did not meet my expectations. We were dropped off at a market at Franchoek to get lunch!! Not much choice and no place to dit and eat. Would have preferred lunch at a winery restaurant which looked very nice.

We're so happy that you loved the older Fairview and Muratie wine estates tastings and it's a pity that the Franschhoek wineries and activities did not live up to expectations this time. The market is across the road from the main street dotted with cafes, deli's and restaurants for a sit down lunch option. Guests have lunch time free to explore the small town at leisure, and we've added a note on the guide's brief for this trip to give more suggestions for lunch too.
