Ontspan de dag met een tropisch ontbijt aan het strand bij Ellis Beach, met gastronomische broodjes, zoete lekkernijen en baristakoffie. Uitzicht op de oceaan en ontspannen vibes zetten de perfecte toon voor uw Outback avontuur.
De volgende stop is Emerald Creek Ice creamery, een familiebedrijf, gelegen op 2,15 ha aan de Kennedy Highway tussen Mareeba en Kuranda. Hun ijs wordt ter plaatse in hun fabriek gemaakt met pure room en volle melk. Sorbets (zuivelvrij, vol fruit) worden ook ter plaatse bereid met lokaal fruit uit de Tablelands. Tijdens deze stop krijgt u een proeverij van unieke tropische smaken.
Stop bij ‘The Humpy’, de beste plek om naar toe te gaan voor vers geoogste Atherton Tablelands-producten rechtstreeks van de telers. Van groenten tot tropisch fruit en honderden verschillende soorten noten, gedroogd fruit, lokaal geproduceerde jam en sauzen. Proef seizoensfruit en veel verschillende smaken hete lokale pinda's en macadamia-noten.
Geniet van een ontspannen lunch in het Lake Barrine Teahouse, dat op de monumentenlijst staat, gelegen naast een rustig kratermeer in het hart van het regenwoud. Geniet van een heerlijke maaltijd in deze rustige omgeving, omgeven door weelderig groen en tijdloze charme.
Gallo Dairyland Ga door het pittoreske dorpje Yungaburra naar een volledig operationele melkveehouderij verspreid over 1000 hectare rijke rode vulkanische grond met handgemaakte chocolaatjes en een gastronomische kaasfabriek. Hier proeven we een vol kaasplateau en Proef onweerstaanbare, in Zwitserse stijl gevulde chocolaatjes die een kunstwerk zijn.
Hier stoppen we voor een proeverij van enkele bekroonde sterke dranken en genieten van de prachtige tuinen en vriendelijke dieren.
Hier betreden we een privéterrein van 165 hectare en we gaan naar de Platypus Hut waar we ontspannen op ligbedden of aan de bar en kijken naar Platypus in de kreek. We nippen aan de witte en rode wijn van Queensland en Great Northern-bier en leren elkaar een beetje beter kennen.

We were on the Outback Tasting Tour From Cairns. Pick-up from our accommodation on time and with Chris as the guide. This is the only criticism, a mini-bus so my wife and I could not sit together. Otherwise Chris kept us entertained on our trip to Robson's Lookout. Then morning tea at Lake Barrine Teahouse with wonderful views over the lake. Off to Winter & Mann for a private tasting and to the shop in Yungaburra to buy their delights and clothing. We just missed seeing a platypus on the way to the iconic Curtain Fig Tree. Lunch, ice-cream and wine tasting at Shaylee Strawberry Farm. Afternoon tea at Gallo Dairyland for chocolates, cheeses and to my surprise, lactose free options. A walk through the small animal farm and off to The Humpy Nut World for more tastings and items to buy. Mount Uncle Distillery for tasting their wares. And finally Emerald Creek Ice Creamery for wonderful tastings of ice-cream and for me lactose free. What a wonderful full packed day. We were safely returned to our accommodation with our cherished purchases.
A great itinerary. Value for money. Only thing we would have liked was a wine tasting at one of the vineyards.

An enjoyable tour trip with interesting food stops and tastings. Our driver Stevie was great fun and informative with local knowledge and historic details provided. It was a full day event, taking almost nine hours from pick up to drop off, great value. Saw much of the countryside and plenty of food.

What a fabulous tour. Chris was fantastic, we had the added bonus of the beautiful Bosun. So much good food, drink, cheese, chocolate. Great scenery. We left this tour after 10 hours saying that we could do it again. Loved it

What an incredible way to see far north Queensland! Chris and his sweet canine sidekick Bosun were delightful hosts and kept us entertained all day. The food was great, and each stop offered fun new things to taste. It was a great way to sample lots of food, and also see a lot of different landscapes all in one day. They also went out of their way to pick us up/drop us off in Palm Cove, which was much appreciated!

We had a amazing day out with our guides Chris and Bosun today. I didn't know what to expect but the tour exceeded our expectations especially seeing the platypus. Had a wonderful day seeing the sights and feasting on local food and beverages and trying to spot a platypus or two as well. Chris our guide, and his trusty mate Bosun the delightful little pooch who we all thought gorgeous, gave us a very good tour and providing us with ecological, geological and historical aspects of the area. Had a different experience at every stop we visited. The local producers are amazing and we all should support local. Enjoyed the singalong as we were heading back to PD. Really topped off tbe whole day. Highly recommend and a must do while holidaying in the area.
