There was a mix up on the meeting point- in hindsight, saying “outside the port”isn’t specific enough. We found our guide 45 minutes after start time (we had been walking around most of that time trying to locate him). He told us he had parked ~ 10 minutes walk from where we met him. We asked him if he would go get the car and pick us up, but he said it would take too long. He was a nice person, but it felt like we were paying to do a tour he wanted to give (vs what we were interested in)- he wasn’t good at reading the room/being flexible. That being said, we enjoyed all the sights we saw.
Thank you for your review. It is quite obvious that the port is a secured area, and not just anyone — not even any guide — can enter it. There is a security checkpoint at the port fence, where a member of staff checks boarding passes or port access permits. This is the only place where passengers can leave the secured port area, and the guide was waiting for you there. We regret that you did not notice each other. After that, you kept changing your location, and the guide was also unable to find you. We are sorry that this happened. Your tour started later, but it was not shorter. The guide conducted the full tour as required.
Julia was very knowledgeable and nice. She took her time explaining the history of Tallan. I really enjoyed her tour.
A great, personalised experience. A couple of hours driving around Tallinn, seeing far more than I expected. Then an hour walking through the old town. Plenty of useful recommendations from the friendly guide.
Arthur did a fantastic job! We thoroughly enjoyed his extensive knowledge and thoughtful commentary. He was very professional and amiable. Adapted to the limit mobility issues of 2 of our group.
We had a great tour guide and experienced beautiful highlights of Tallinn. We drove to Kadiouru Park and surrounding areas then returned to visit Old Town on foot. It was a great way to experience so much in one tour. He gave a very informative and easy to follow tour. We really appreciated his sharing of personal experiences of life in Talllinn. Highly recommend! .
I booked a private city tour with Discover Estonia tours and they were fantastic from the outset. I let them know that while my parents are pensioners and mobile my Dad has a bad knee so it would need to be at a slower pace. We were assigned Artur and he was amazing from the beginning. He arrived with water which was amazing and was so patient with my Dad knowing his knee isn't so good. In 3 hours we received a WEALTH of information from Estonian history, language, education, architecture along with him answering our many questions. I would highly recommend you do the tour and if you can REQUEST ARTUR
What a wonderful stop, Tallinn was! Our guide, Irena, picked us up in her Jag! She took us to the city park where the museum and Govt. buildings are including one of Peter the Greats humble homes. Then on to Old Town which was really special. The medieval town is full of sites culminating with the town square which is wonderful. This was one of our favorite days of our cruise!!
We had a fabulous guide who took us around modern Tallin in a car and explained the more modern history of the city. Even took us to certain areas not planned like a house built by Peter the Great in the 1700’s. Then we had a long walk through the upper and lower old city. She was very knowledgeable. And we had a great time
Vladimir was our tour guide and speaks excellent Spanish; he is an excellent guide, he has a very broad knowledge of the whole city of Tallinn. He told me about a sweet, Plavlova, who created the Russian dancer Anna Pavlova and is delicious, also provides the marzipan and is sensational.... we really had a lot of fun while listening to all the stories of the city of Tallinn, I LOVE IT!!!!!!
Our Private Tour in Tallinn was a fantastic experience, largely thanks to our wonderful guide, Anastacia. She was not only knowledgeable but also had a warm, pleasant personality that made the tour enjoyable from start to finish. Anastacia drove us safely and made sure to tailor the itinerary to our interests, even going out of her way to include a visit to the stunning Jägala Waterfall. Despite the change in plans, she still ensured we got to see all the must-see sights in Tallinn’s Old Town. We also appreciated her excellent recommendation for a charming coffee spot in the Old Town, which added a nice touch to our day. We're so glad we opted for the private tour and felt incredibly lucky to have Anastacia as our guide. Her flexibility, professionalism, and local insight truly made our visit to Tallinn memorable. Highly recommend!
Dear Paulita! thank you for the review. Yes, we are flexible and always know how to impress our guests. Wishing you many wonderful trips in the future and always happy to see you in Tallinn again!
