Dagtrip nationaal park Lahemaa

Rhea was an excellent guide and driver, she was friendly and knowledgable, ensuring we were comfortable and informed at all times, and her passion for her country made it a really enjoyable day. We had a great group and she chatted with all of us and kept everyone on track and answered any questions we had. It was a lovely walk around Lahemaa National Park, Jägala waterfall, through the woods with the sauna houses, by the Baltic Sea, and of course the bogs. We had a delicious lunch of traditional Estonian food and got to have a go on the Estonian swing which was such a fun highlight!

Loved the tour, Helen our guide made the tour so interesting,beautiful sights to see,very well planned through out the say and the lunch with traditional estonian food was excellent ( I am vegetarian and they had veg options!) Excellent value for money!

The national park is gorgeous and should be seen. The bog is spectacular. It is very unique snd the waterfall is also beautiful and unique. Our guide provided us with in depth knowledge about the park, its history, the plants and animals as well as other history sbout Estonia. I learned a lot in one day and I am very appreciative. Furthermore, our lunch spot was amazing. The ambience and food was a ten.

It was a highlight of the Tallinn tour. Our guide Astra was wonderful and on the return also obliged to drop us off at our hotel.

Our guide, Simon, was a pleasant man. However, there wasn’t much learned. Five of us were traveling from Tallinn, Estonia on a 8 to 9 hour visit to the countryside with him and a driver in a comfortable van. Right from the start of our 8 hour travels, he sat in the front and didn’t discuss anything. No introductions about Tallinn,Estonia, or the park and places we were visiting. This was a surprise to me, and not like any other full day trip I’ve taken. Usually, guides are full of enthusiasm and interesting information. Fortunately, folks began asking questions and he was responding fully. Problem with this was the 3 of us in the second row could barely hear him. I did mention this several times, but no adjustment was made by him. When on walks, he would be discussing things, but mostly this was with the one or two people who were walking beside or near him. He rarely paused to share with the whole group. We stopped to visit a manor house in the country. He lead us through with very little description of history, use or even when it was built. Apparently, he has been a guide for several years, and mostly, lead tours through the city. As a fellow passenger said to me at a stop nearer the conclusion, “this was underwhelming” and I would agree.

Lovely things of nature to see. However, the bog walk and the forest walk are just too long. After half way, it becomes a chore rather than a pleasurable experience - that's in my opinion. Very good walking shoes are required as almost 12km of walking is involved. The guide, although knowledgeable and enthusiastic, needed to be more attentive to the needs of the group members - there were only nine of us. The lunch and the venue are great, as are the stops at a manor house, beach, fisherman cottages and amazing waterfall.

The tour was fantastic and offered great value. Reah, the tour guide, was the best!!!! She was genuinely friendly and carried a nice contagious energy. She was very knowledgeable and told us tons of facts and stories about Estonia and the sights we visited. She's also a well-traveled individual, so she also shared a few funny and interesting stories about her trips to other countries including mine, México! That was a totally unexpected but good surprise! The nature was stunning. We took lots of pictures, but they don't do it justice. It was just so beautiful. The air was super clean even in the busiest areas, and the food was amazing! Everything was so rich and fresh. It was like eating and drinking little pieces of heaven. The transportation was confortable and arrived punctually. It was nice to have small group. It made things easier and we were all confortable and with plenty of space. I would highly recommend this tour and Reah as your guide. You'd have great food, great sights, and great company!

They picked us up in the city center and took us to the essential places in the park (the Jägala waterfall, the walk through the bog, the coast, the forest and even to a manor house) and told us a lot of things about the nature and customs of Estonia that would have taken us centuries to discover.The trip was really interesting not only because of the landscape but because of everything we could discover about it with the help of the guides.Rhea and Marc were fantastic and made us spend a great day visiting the park. With Marc we could even speak in Spanish and in Catalan.The place where we had lunch was one of the best places we have eaten.Bring a winter coat, swimsuit and an umbrella. You will be fine.

I had such a wonderful hiking experience with George! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole trip feel easy, fun, and informative. His positive energy and great guidance really made the experience special. Highly recommended, and I’d definitely join another trip with George!

This was a pleasant day and a good chance to see more of Estonia than just Tallin. A lot was packed in and I would recommend.
