Overal in de lengte zijn er veel Inca en Pre-Inca-sites die te vinden zijn en de Sacred Valley-rondleiding bezoekt de 4 belangrijkste locaties, Chinchero, Moray, Salt Mines en Ollantaytambo. Veel toeristen kiezen ervoor om deze tour te doen vlak voor hun bezoek aan Machu Picchu, want je kunt kiezen om af te sluiten in Ollantaytambo van waaruit je de trein neemt naar Aguas Calientes (de stad aan de voet van Machu Picchu). • Duur: ongeveer 9 uur.

Sacred Valley Tour begint vroeg en begeeft zich naar het hoge bergdorpje Chinchero, beroemd om zijn weverij en spectaculair gelegen op grote hoogte (3800 m) We zullen een weefhuis bezoeken en een demonstratie houden over verven en weven technieken als een bezoek aan de beroemde Chinchero-markt. Vanuit Chinchero dalen we af naar de terrassen in Moray. Moray heeft drie amfitheaterachtige terrassen van de Inca's. Deze terrassen, die in een schaalvorm diep in de aarde zijn gesneden, werden verondersteld te worden gebruikt om de optimale omstandigheden voor het verbouwen van gewassen te bepalen. Als je klaar bent met het verkennen van Moray, ga je naar de zoutmijnen van Maras, ongeveer 3 km verderop. Dit dorp staat bekend als een voormalig zoutproducerend centrum waarvan men denkt dat het dateert uit de tijd van vóór de Inca. Er zijn meer dan 3000 zoutpoelen die allemaal uitgehouwen zijn in de bergwand en die dagelijks worden gevuld met een kleine stroom water. We dalen af naar de voet van de Heilige Vallei en vervolgens naar Ollantaytambo, die een indrukwekkend aantal terrassen heeft die vanuit het dorpscentrum leiden. Plaatsen die worden bezocht: • Chinchero (traditioneel weefcentrum). • Moray. • Zoutmijnen • Ollantaytambo.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Waman Adventures! Our guide, Jenny, was incredible , she explained everything so clearly and we learned so much from her throughout the tour. She made every stop feel special and memorable. A huge thank you as well to Miguel, our driver. He was extremely skilled and experienced, and the ride was very comfortable in the cozy car. We always felt safe and relaxed. My wife and I truly enjoyed every moment of the day. The places we visited were stunning, and the entire experience was unforgettable.
