Bezoekt de historische Stonehenge, wat een "must see" is voor iedereen die het Verenigd Koninkrijk bezoekt, evenals Avebury, dat omringd wordt door de grootste stenen cirkel ter wereld en West Kennet Long Barrow in Wiltshire. Deze tour bestaat uit een wandeltocht door Avebury, toegang tot Stonehenge, luxe retourbegeleide busreizen en de diensten van een tourmanager.

Aan het einde van de tour bezoekt u het beroemdste neolithische monument in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Stonehenge. Je krijgt de tijd om het zelf te verkennen, rond de stenen en de tentoonstelling te lopen.
Allereerst bezoeken we het eigenzinnige dorpje Avebury dat is gebouwd in het midden van een neolithische stenen cirkel. Je krijgt een rondleiding bij aankomst en vervolgens links om het dorp op eigen gelegenheid te verkennen.
Je Tour Manager neemt je mee op een heuvel om een 5000 jaar oud neolithisch graf te zien. Je kunt deze oude begraafplaats binnengaan en de mysterieuze Silbury-heuvel over de vallei zien. (Niet geschikt voor rolstoelen.)

Thé guide was fantastic. Super knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Perfect mix of information and independent exploration. Absolutely loved it! Great driver as well.
4hr round trip from London. Stonehenge looked just like the pictures. You can't get near the stones. Not too many people. Visitors center is nice. Avebury is the lunch stop and has limited capacity so go to lunch first. Stones are very spread out but you can touch and walk around. The coach we traveled in was not comfortable for a 6 foot, 200lb man. Viewing area very limited so many of the items that Sam pointed out were difficult to see. Sam was the highlight with his stories and useful tips. Unless you are enamoured by the alleged mystic properties of the stone circle, you're better of watching one of the many videos on You-Tube.
The tour and the guide were great! The bus size was awful!!!! It should be illegal to have seats that small & that close together. There were 3 of us. 2 average size adults and a teenager. Our knees pushed into the seat ahead of us. Actually a painful experience to be sitting like that all day. As seniors our backs were hurting by noon.
Dear Customer, Thanks for your feedback and sometimes this tour travels on a smaller 19 or 22 seater bus. This is because we cap the tour at 25 passengers as there is the walking tour at Avebury, therefore we make it a small group tour so people can get the most out of the walking tour element. It is also better to use smaller vehicles when out in the countryside on small roads. All the coaches we use are standard regulation size, not in anyway particularly small. This tour was absolutely amazing! Pick up was convenient and easy and our guide Calum was very knowledgable and friendly. Seeing the stones at Avebury and Stonehenge was incredibly moving.

The bus driver / guide that we had was excellent. He did not rush the tour and allowed enough time to visit each of the three sites. Very informative.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a wonderful tour with Mike as our guide to West Kennet Long Barrow, Stonehenge, and Avebury and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Mike was fantastic! He was funny, warm, charming, and incredibly engaging, with an amazing depth of knowledge and had such an very special way of telling stories that everything felt vivid and interesting from beginning to end. Also the chosen combination of prehistoric and Neolithic places in one tour was great. My 8-year-old son and I both loved it and you could even walk inside the long barrow to have a look inside. It was probably one of the best tours we have ever experienced and - without a doubt - the most beautiful and memorable day of our holidays in London. The time flew by, and we enjoyed every single minute of it. If you get the chance to have a tour with Mike, I would highly recommend it. Thank you, Mike, for the special day and the memories! ✨️

Stonehenge and Avebury with Anderson Tours was an awesome experience. Our guide - I believe his name was Mike? - was fabulous. He knowledge was above and beyond what most guides offer. It was a full, busy day seeing and understanding amazing sites. It was the best day of our vacation.
