Het prachtige Bath, dat trots op de hellingen van de rivier de Avon staat, was de eerste stad in Engeland die in zijn geheel op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO stond. De prachtige honingkleurige Georgische architectuur van de stad, de prachtige 15e-eeuwse Bath Abbey en de romantische Pulteney Bridge (gemodelleerd naar de Ponte Vecchio in Florence) zijn allemaal bezienswaardigheden waar je bij wilt blijven!
De Royal Crescent is een reeks van 30 gebouwen in terrassen in Bath, Engeland, gebouwd in een uitgestrekte halve maan. Het is een monumentaal bouwwerk dat werd ontworpen door architect John Wood, the Younger en werd gebouwd tussen 1767 en 1774. Het is een van de beste voorbeelden van Georgische architectuur in het VK. Hoewel de talrijke interieurs door de jaren heen aanzienlijke veranderingen hebben ondergaan, is de Georgische stenen buitenkant sinds de bouw grotendeels onveranderd gebleven. De 500 meter lange halve maan heeft 114 Ionische zuilen op de eerste verdieping en een hoofdgestel in Palladiaanse stijl erboven. Met zijn uitzicht over het tegenoverliggende park was het de eerste halvemaan van rijtjeswoningen die werd gebouwd en een voorbeeld van 'rus in urbe'. Sinds het meer dan 240 jaar geleden werd opgericht, hebben veel opmerkelijke mensen in de Royal Crescent gewoond of verbleven, en sommige worden geëerd op unieke plaquettes die op de respectieve gebouwen zijn aangebracht.

Amanda was an amazing tour guide. The Bus driver was top notch...probably the most skilled bus driver I have ever seen. The tour was not what we booked. We were told upon arrival that it was now a bi-lingual tour with English and Mandarin. Amanda did well but it felt like she had to share her time and attention. The schedule was not what we booked. We booked a trip where the itinerary was Bath first which would put us at Stonehenge around the time of the Eclipse. We were not told this was changed until we were on the bus. Later we were told Stonehenge closes at 3pm so all schedules were changed. Also, we were not dropped off at the meeting point as shown on the website. We were dropped at a completely different place. Amanda explained this from the beginning. But still, as a tourist from out of the country this can be off-putting. This all should have been updated on the Viator website.
An amazing day trip to Stonehenge and the Roman Baths! Guide Calvin brought incredible energy and rich history to the stops, while the driver kept the long-distance coach ride smooth and safe. Stonehenge felt truly magical, and Bath was gorgeous. Highly recommended for a well-organized adventure!

Wei was an excellent guide and she was well versed with everything around and was a thorough professional. She ensured that our trip was every penny worth. The tour started on time and the agreed-upon departure times were also kept throughout the rest of the trip. The bus was air-conditioned and clean. Our guide Peter put a lot of effort into making the excursion interesting. His historical digressions were always informative and entertainingly presented. Our driver Romeo did a very good job. I never felt unsafe during the entire trip. The time at Stonehenge was sufficient; for Bath, it could have been more than 3 hours. I recommend booking the tickets in advance, as the tickets for the Roman Baths can be sold out on-site or you should expect waiting times.

Great tour overall. Calvin the tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The driver Calvinder took a great scenic route. We arrived to Bath at about 3pm without having any chance to eat lunch and we immediately started the group tour of the Roman Bath house. A suggestion would be to have the tour meet at the Bath house at the end of the time in Bath to give everyone time to eat. The coach was also 15 minutes late to pick up and returned at 8:30pm. But these large group tours are never perfect.
