Welkom in Nafplio! Beleef een onvergetelijke ervaring in de eerste hoofdstad van Griekenland die wordt beschouwd als een van de mooiste en meest romantische steden van Griekenland! Tijdens deze geweldige wandeltocht door de stad Nafplio leren we over de lange geschiedenis ervan terwijl we door de pittoreske steegjes met de neoklassieke herenhuizen en Venetiaanse balkons dwalen. Onder begeleiding van een lokale reisleider bezoeken we de belangrijkste archeologische vindplaatsen, zoeken we naar sporen van de Franken, Venetianen en Ottomanen in de architectuur van de stad en genieten we van de kenmerkende geuren van de jasmijn en basilicum.

We beginnen onze hoogtepunten van de Nafplio-tour vanuit de lobby van uw hotel of vanuit de haven.
Vertrekkend van de Landpoort komen we binnen de muren van de oude stad en bezoeken we onder andere de kathedraal en het plein van Saint Spyridon waar de eerste gouverneur van Griekenland werd vermoord.
We vervolgen onze wandeling naar het Syntagmaplein, het hart van de stad, en verkennen de historische gebouwen uit verschillende perioden, zoals het Archeologisch Museum, de Vouleftikon waar het eerste parlement van de vrije Griekse staat was gevestigd en de Oude Moskee. Vervolgens wagen we ons naar het betoverende fort van Akronafplia, gelegen bovenop het gelijknamige rotsachtige schiereiland, waar we betoverd worden door het adembenemende panoramische uitzicht. Ten slotte gaan we naar de kleine vredige oude haven om het Venetiaanse fort Bourtzi te verkennen, het handelsmerk van de stad, gebouwd op het eiland Agioi Theodoroi. Ten slotte gaan we naar de kleine vredige haven om het Venetiaanse fort Mpourtzi, het handelsmerk van de stad, gebouwd op het eiland Agioi Theodoroi.
Eindelijk keren we terug naar ons ontmoetingspunt vol herinneringen en kennis.
