Verken Guayaquil, de stad die bekend staat als de "Parel van de Stille Oceaan", en die sinds het begin verbonden is met de Ecuadoriaanse geschiedenis. Tijdens deze tour krijgt u de gelegenheid om de cultuur en traditie van Guayaquil te leren kennen door enkele van de mooiere locaties te bezoeken. Kom dicht bij een inheemse leguaan in het Seminario Park, loop langs de Guayas-rivier bij Malecon 2000, dompel jezelf onder in de kleurrijke huizen van de wijk Las Peñas en bewonder het geweldige uitzicht vanuit de stad en de rivier van bovenaf.

Onze eerste stop is Seminario Park, om de prachtige tuinen en de lagune te bewonderen. Met de kathedraal van Guayaquil op de achtergrond, zullen we ook ontdekken waarom dit park bekend staat als "Iguanas Park", door de exotische leguanen van Guayaquil, die langer zijn dan een meter, van dichtbij te zien. Daarna steken we de populaire Malecon 2000 over langs de Guayas-rivier, waar we een verscheidenheid aan musea, tuinen, dokken en uitkijkpunten zullen zien. Onze volgende stop is la Rotonda, om het monument van de bevrijders van Zuid-Amerika te zien en te horen over het beroemde "Interview van Guayaquil" tussen de Venezolaan Simón Bolívar en de Argentijn José de San Martín. Daarna gaan we naar het oudste deel van de stad om de koloniale wijk Las Peñas te verkennen. Hun kleurrijke huizen gebouwd in hout zijn ware kunstwerken. Ten slotte zullen we stijgen naar het uitkijkpunt van Las Peñas (de oorspronkelijke stad van Guayaquil in de 16e eeuw), en genieten van een adembenemend panoramisch uitzicht over de stad en de beroemde rivier de Guayas.

We wanted to learn about Guayaquil and do some sightseeing before our trip to the Galapagos and did the city tour. It was informative, well-paced, and brought a good balance of history, culture, food, and sights. Allison was a great guide. Even two teen boys enjoyed it.

We did the day tour of Guayaquil in order to get to know the city before we took off to the Galapagos the next day. There were four of us… My wife and I and two teenage boys. The tour was about 3 1/2 hours long and it included history, culture, a little sightseeing, and some food tasting. Allison was an excellent tour guide as a city native. Knowledgeable, eligible, great communicator before, and during the tour, and showed us a lot of the city. I recommend this tour highly.

Today was a wonderful leisurely, walk around Guayaquil. Our tour guide Antonio was extremely knowledgeable about his country and was sure to provide us with the most in-depth explanation of the culture and answered all of our questions. We walked 440 steps in the old city and enjoyed the most beautiful sunset atop the lighthouse where we got a chance to cool off with a wonderful breeze. It was a wonderful adventure for couples with a beautiful and romantic sunset at the end.

We enjoyed riding on the gondolas and visiting the artist neighborhood outside downtown Guayaquil. But a large portion of the tour consisted of being driven, seemingly aimlessly, through parts of the city with no real explanation why. From a distance we saw sights we would have liked to visit like the Monumento al Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, but were past by. Overall, this tour was mediocre at best.
