Deze tour is ontworpen rond de best mogelijke timing om de stadsmuren van Dubrovnik te ervaren. In tegenstelling tot de standaard tours, bieden wij een vroeg vertrek van 8 : 00 uur, zodat u de muren kunt lopen voor de hitte en drukte. We bieden ook een zonsondergang optie voor een heel andere sfeer. Onder leiding van een gelicentieerde lokale Gids combineert de tour geschiedenis en insider verhalen met zorgvuldig getimede stops bij de beste uitzichtpunten met uitzicht op de oude binnenstad, Fort Lovrijenac en de Adriatische Zee. We beginnen bij de Amerling-fontein, locatie is Brsalje 2, naast de cadeauwinkel van Dubravka, buiten de oude stadsmuren. De gids heeft een blauwe paraplu.
We nemen de trappen naar de stadsmuren bij de westelijke ingang (tegenover de Onofrio-fontein). Onze eerste stop is direct boven de hoofdstraat vanwaar u het beste uitzicht heeft. Je gids laat je kennismaken met de rijke geschiedenis van de stad.
Het belangrijkste verdedigingspunt van de westelijke toegang tot de stad. Prachtig uitzicht op Fort Lawrence.
Het zuidelijke deel van de muur. Rond fort. Verdedigingspunt tussen Toren Bokar en Fort van St. John tegen mogelijk gevaar van de zee.
Het fort van St. John aan de zuidoostelijke kant van de haven van de oude stad die de toegang controleert en beschermt.
Het werd gebouwd om het kwetsbare punt van de stadsversterkingen te versterken. Grote bescherming tegen de Turken.
Het meest prominente punt in het verdedigingssysteem richting het land. Door zijn hoogte en indrukwekkend volume het noordwestelijke hoge deel van de stad en de muren.

The guide Jelena was very attentive and clear! She tells the history like a story and makes everyone understand the changes that took place in this region. It is nice to do it in the afternoon, when it is not so hot.

I can really recommend this! There were no signs on the city wall in English informing you around history, so it is crucial to have a guide if you want to learn more about Dubrovnik. We also got the chance to put as many questions we wanted and we learnt a lot around daily life in Dubrovnik both today and in the past. We got good recommendations as well. In short - a great tour!

We took the 2 hour sunset tour with Michaela purchased through GetYourGuide . She paced the tour so that we had ample time to rest after the intermittent uphill stairs along the wall and provided interesting history about Dubrovnik and Croatia including personal notes. It was a very enjoyable tour and a highlight of our trip to Croatia.

Our tour guide Daniel was an absolute gem. She wasn’t only interesting but took an interest in everyone in our small group. She shared some fascinating information as well as a bit of a tear jerker of her own family’s experiences. I would highly recommend this tour. The tour was amazing. Our tour guide, Deśa was very knowledgeable about the history of Dubrovnik. She also gave plenty of recommendations for other things to do and places to eat around the city. She was also very good and patient with my wife who had a fear of heights. Great Tour, with a great guide. Highly recommend.
I liked this so much I sent others on the same tour the next morning. Deca was amazing, giving so much of the history of Dubrovnik as well as information about the culture. She gave recommendations on where to eat and even helped me with instructions for bus including # and stop nearest my hotel. You should do this tour right away as she will help you enjoy rest of your time in Dubrovnik. Yes, lots of steps but stops to tell you about history or views are well timed to catch your breath and take a break
