Dubrovnik Game of Thrones wandeltocht met optioneel Lokrum bezoek

Tijdens deze Game of Thrones tour in Dubrovnik bezoek je de beste sites waar King's Landing scènes werden gefilmd. Je kunt zelfs verhalen en roddels van achter de schermen horen, omdat sommige van de gidsen Game of Thrones-extra's en stand-ins waren.

Onze Game of Thrones-tours beginnen naast de grote Onofrio-fontein in de oude binnenstad (naast het Hard Rock Cafe), waar u onze vertegenwoordiger zult ontmoeten met een rode paraplu met het bord Dubrovnik Walking Tours. Nadat de groep is samengesteld, zal onze gids zichzelf voorstellen en gaan we op een avontuur van 2 uur waarbij we plaatsen uit ons favoriete tv-programma bezoeken.
Vanaf het ontmoetingspunt beginnen we onze wandeling naar de westelijke ingang van de oude stad; Stapelpoort. Hier zullen we enkele van de scènes uit seizoen 2 en 3 bekijken. Namelijk, scènes waarin de koninklijke processie, inclusief koning Joffrey, wordt blootgesteld aan de jagers van de hongerende menigte. Joffrey beval zijn in aantal overtroffen persoonlijke garde om de hele menigte te executeren, waarbij een stadsoproer ontstond en de terugkeer van Jaime Lannister naar de stad met Brienne van Tarth. Niemand uit de menigte herkent Jaime terwijl hij incognito de stad in glijdt.
Het pad onder Pile Gate ophaalbrug brengt je naar de haven van King's Landing. Bezoek het strand waar de koninklijke entourage, waaronder koning Joffrey, koningin Cersei Lannister, Tyrion en Sansa Stark, aan de haven staan om prinses Myrcella naar Dorne te zien, waar de gouden mantels werden bevolen om alle klootzakken van koning Robert Baratheon te doden of waar Tyrion naar de stadsmuren (Fort Bokar) met Lord Varys om de strategie te bespreken om de slag om Blackwater Bay te winnen.
Op weg naar de steile trap naar de Red Keep stoppen we bij een van de steigers van de westelijke baai van Dubrovnik. Deze locatie verdubbelt voor sommige van de Blackwater Bay en de wildvuurscènes in de show. Het werd ook gebruikt voor opnamen van Sansa en Shae toen ze op de pier over schepen en plaatsen voor hen spraken voordat Petyr Baelish (Littlefinger) opdaagde om Sansa te vertellen hoe hij van plan is haar uit King's Landing en terug naar haar familie te krijgen .
Fort Lovrijenac verdubbelt als de Red Keep; een kasteel dat uitkijkt over de Blackwater Bay in King's Landing, de hoofdstad van de zeven koninkrijken. Het bevat de Grote Zaal, een enorme troonzaal waar de ijzeren troon zich bevindt en het huis is van de koning of koningin. Het monumentale fort St. Lawrence (Lovrijenac) van Dubrovnik werd gebruikt als een set voor het filmen van meerdere scènes met afbeeldingen van de buiten- en buitenkant van de Red Keep, waaronder de Purple Wedding, het toernooi op de naamdag van koning Joffrey, enz.
Na de afdaling naar Old Town neemt de tour je mee door de straten van King's Landing waar Rebellion versus Joffrey plaatsvond nadat hij zijn persoonlijke bewaker had bevolen om de hele menigte te executeren. Vind de locatie van scènes na de gebeurtenissen van de Paarse bruiloft, met Sansa op de vlucht naar een schip voor de kust, Jamie's terugkeer naar King's Landing na zijn gevangenschap, scènes van Littlefinger's bordeel en plaats waar Tyrion spreekt met Prins Oberyn Martell, de Rode Adder van Dorne die wraak kwam nemen.
We komen bij de plaats van de beruchte Walk Of Shame; wat het hoogtepunt is van elke Game of Thrones-wandeltocht. In Westeros is het een openbaar ritueel van straf en boete in het geloof van de zeven. Een bekende zondaar loopt een bepaalde afstand ontdaan van alle kleding, blootgesteld aan de ogen en de spot van de bevolking. Na een tijd gevangen te houden, geeft koningin Cersei toe dat hij overspel heeft gepleegd. Terwijl ze naakt loopt, wordt ze vergezeld door een Septa, die herhaaldelijk "Schaamte" roept en een belletje doet rinkelen om de aandacht van mensen te trekken. De beste fotomoment.
Vanaf hier vertrekt de veerboot naar Lokrum Island.
Upgrade je ervaring door buiten de stad verder te gaan naar Lokrum Island, een weelderig natuurlijk toevluchtsoord dat wordt gebruikt als decor voor Qarth in seizoen 2. Deze optie omvat alle locaties van de 2 uur durende tour, gevolgd door een veerbootrit naar Lokrum, waar u de officiële IJzeren Troon van Dubrovnik bezoekt en hoort hoe het eiland werd getransformeerd voor het filmen.
De tour eindigt met een bezoek aan het Benedictijner klooster op Lokrum Island, waar bezoekers de mogelijkheid hebben om foto's te maken van de IJzeren Troon

Tour guide was absolutely amazing and had so much knowledge about game of thrones and Dubrovnik!
It was an ok tour. The guide had a lot of good info to share. But there was just so many people touring the area and it was extremely hot. Just a reminder that there are extra fees.

This tour is very fun for GOT fans. Andrea was a great speaker and storyteller and she conveyed the show to the location well with pictures. Would recommend to go early in the morning in the summertime as it gets very hot in the old town.
