Ga met ons mee op privé-excursie naar een van de meest spectaculaire ondergrondse werelden in Europa - de grotten van Škocjan die op de UNESCO-lijst staan. Excursie is ontworpen voor cruise- en hotelgasten, zodat u gewoon kunt genieten van de dag. Na een schilderachtige rit over het Karstplateau en het Sloveense platteland kom je aan bij het regionale park Škocjan Caves - een plek die wordt beschreven als Europa's Grand Canyon ondergronds. Onder begeleiding van een officiële grot Gids wandel je over goed onderhouden paden een grotten in die uitgehouwen zijn door de smaragdgroene Reka rivier. Na het grotbezoek heb je vrije tijd voor koffie, eten en op de terugweg ook Fotostop op Karst Plateau. Goede wandelschoenen zijn een must! We ontmoeten de cruiseterminal of een andere voorkeursaccommodatie in Triëst en gaan rechtstreeks naar de grotten van Divaca-Skocjan. Een ritje in een comfortabel, up-to-date, schoon busje met airconditioning duurt ongeveer 30 minuten. We accepteren maximaal 15 personen voor deze excursie.
Als we naar de grotten komen, zal uw chauffeur u begeleiden naar de ingang en u de tickets geven (inbegrepen in de prijs), omdat u lid wordt van een grotere groep die door uw lokale grotgids in uw voorkeurstaal wordt geleid.
Na het verlaten van de grotten heb je genoeg tijd om wat souvenirs te kopen, gebruik het toilet of pak een kopje koffie of een snack. Daarna zullen we elkaar weer ontmoeten en teruggaan naar Koper in een ontspannende soepele rit (30 min.) Terwijl de reis eindigt onder je schip of een andere accommodatie in Koper.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Cruisepassagiersterminal in Triëst of een andere voorkeurslocatie in de Triëstzone. De vertrektijd en locatie worden in overleg bepaald op het moment van boeking. Hotel of een andere gewenste ophaallocatie Zorg dat je 10 minuten voor de geplande ophaaltijd klaarstaat bij de ophaallocatie. Indien niet anders is overeengekomen, is de inleverlocatie dezelfde als de ophaallocatie

- U ontvangt de exacte geoptimaliseerde vertrektijd van de tour uiterlijk de laatste week voor de tour nadat we de laatste update voor uw schip aankomst / vertrektijden van de havenautoriteiten hebben ontvangen. Hote en privé accommodatie gast zal door ons worden gecontacteerd om pick-up tijd en locatie voorkeuren te bespreken.
- De term "PRIVÉ" geldt alleen voor de tijd van transport (maximaal 8). Aangezien de grotten onder nationale bescherming staan sluit je je aan bij een grotere groep onder leiding van een lokale grotten Gids

- Deze tour opereert in alle weersomstandigheden dus draag passende kleding in geval van wind of regen.
- Houd er rekening mee dat het grotgedeelte in totaal ongeveer 350 trappen omvat, dus de moeilijkheidsgraad is 3,5 van de 5.

The cave was magnificent.it was a unique experience.we are very thankful to our guide Peter,who suggested to us to take this trip eventhou,we exidently booked another one.it was worth it!!!

Peter corresponded with me back and forth several months before our trip, promptly answering questions and helping to guide me in selecting how to best spend our limited 8 hour day off of a cruise ship. There are so many options to see in this beautiful country... His friendly associate Maja picked us up promptly at the Koper cruise port in a comfortable van with bottled water and we began our day with a scenic drive to Piran. She dropped us off for an hour while we purchased coffee at a shop she recommended and wandered around this gorgeous coastal city. Our next stop was Predjama Castle where we enjoyed a 45 minute audio tour while exploring the castle. Maja had purchased some Slovenian culinary favorites while we were touring, so afterwards we enjoyed a picnic lunch in the countryside consisting of delicious breads, cheeses, meats, spreads & chocolate with a bottle of Slovenian coca-cola, or "Cockta" to sample! Our next stop was UNESCO's Skocjanske Caves which was simply amazing and highly recommended. As we had some time on our way back to the port and had wished to try Slovenian wine, Peter met up with us at a local winery where we sampled local wine and purchased several inexpensive bottles to bring back with us. Throughout our experience, Maja educated us about Slovenian culture & it's unique history. At the end of the day when we said goodbye to her and Peter, we felt as though we had made new friends in this beautiful country. It was truly a perfect day and a highlight of our trip to Europe. We will be back! .

We had such a wonderful experience with Peter in Koper. We were a family of 4 adults and an almost 2 year old coming for the day from a cruise ship. Once we booked the trip, he communicated with us several times beforehand and confirmed our meeting spot, time, etc. He was there waiting for us right when we exited the cruise ship. He arranged to have a car seat for my son (a huge plus) and provided a comfortable journey to the caves, sharing about the culture and history of the country. As its a UNESCO world heritage site, its my understanding that they do not allow private tour guides. But we enjoyed our tour with the cave guides (despite it being a very large group, we were able to hear well and learned a lot). Be advised that you can't take photos in the cave on the tour which is a bit of a bummer because they truly are spectacular inside. Peter was then waiting for us at the end of the tour and offered us an option to extend our tour into the afternoon if we wished. We took him up on the offer and he took us to a local winery for a wine tasting before we had to go back on the ship. Peter was so sweet with my son too, even offering to look after him while we did the wine tasting. He went above and beyond to make it an enjoyable day for us. Our driver, Peter, was excellent, he was on time, provided us water, drove safely and gave us interesting information about Slovania. Once at the caves the tour was not private, we were in groups of 50 people assigned according to language spoken. The queue for this was poorly organized and took an exorbitant amount of time. So the tour is not a private tour as advertised; we had a private driver. The caves themselves were beautiful and the area was beautiful too.
