The falls were beautiful and it was fun being able to swim in the river. The water was high so swimming was limited and it was difficult to see the fish.
Beautiful site to see. There was a lot of people in the swimming area but it’s a very popular destination so expected. The hike back up is not bad as there are many platforms and places to take a break, 15 minutes down about 30 coming back up.
too expensive for the expirence that is not enough
We want to thank Alonso for the incredible experience we had tubing on the Río Celeste. From the first moment he was very professional, kind, and attentive, and he made us feel safe during the entire trip. His knowledge of the river and nature made the adventure even more special. He was always looking out for the group, explaining everything clearly and maintaining a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Without a doubt, Alonso made this an unforgettable experience. We recommend him 100% to anyone who wants to enjoy tubing on the Río Celeste. Thank you very much for a spectacular day!
Great fun to walk behind the water fall
The waterfall was absolutely beautiful. There are quite a lot of steps to get there, but the views and the experience made every step worth it.
It’s great and spectacular, however it’s about 500 stair treads escalators so be prepared to exercise but totally worth it, the Viator ticket great no waiting on line get your bracelet and go.
Only gave a 4star as we couldn’t swim. The waterfall had dangerous levels of water due to rainfall so we couldn’t swim. We enjoyed the quick walk down many steps to the amazing spectacle that is the powerful waterfall. And a strenuous walk back up for all of us.
We did this on our own from Arenal Manoa hotel and our rental car. Though I am sure the guide would point out animals, insects, particular foliage, etc...we were very pleased with this as a self guided adventure. The steps down are easy peasy/steps up are totally doable, with plenty of spots to stop to take a breath. Our family spent a solid hour maybe more enjoying swimming and hanging in the water below the waterfall. The day we were there, you could not swim in the area directly beneath the waterfall, but the area just below the rocks, was incredibly enjoyable swimming and wading. Water shoes are a big plus here, but half my family did not have them and it was fine. I highly recommend spending the time to take in the majestic falls and breathing in the stunning beauty of the surroundings. It was alittle crowded when we were there, but you can tune out a lot of the noise. This was a major highlight of our trip and very easy and affordable to do on your own without a guide.
It is absolutely beautiful. You have to go early to beat the crowd. But if everybody writes that, then that is the crowd.😆
