Deze kleine groepsgletsjerwandeling vindt plaats op Falljökull, een van de uitlopers van de machtige Vatnajökull - Europa's grootste gletsjer. Onder leiding van een gecertificeerde gletsjer Gids, ontdek alles wat deze levende gletsjer te bieden heeft. Geniet van het panoramische uitzicht op een steeds veranderend landschap terwijl je leert over de bevroren reuzen van IJsland. Onze 4x4 bus brengt je van Skaftafell recht naar de rand van de gletsjer, zodat we de tijd op het ijs maximaliseren. Deze wandeling is perfect voor gezinnen, beginnende ontdekkingsreizigers of terugkerende avonturiers die op zoek zijn naar een toegankelijk en veilig gletsjeravontuur.

- Geschikt voor alle condities
- Deze tour wordt als gemakkelijk beoordeeld, maar gasten moeten bereid zijn om ongeveer ~ 3 km (1,8 mijl) totaal over oneffen terrein te lopen.
- Minimumleeftijd van 8, en minimumschoenmaat van 35 euro.
- Stevige wandelschoenen met enkelsteun zijn verplicht voor dit avontuur. Verhuur is beschikbaar voor een vergoeding indien nodig.
- Houd er rekening mee dat onze gespecialiseerde gletsjerstijgijzers alleen beschikbaar zijn voor schoenmaten 35 - 50 EU. Mensen met een schoenmaat hoger dan deze kunnen helaas niet deelnemen.

Once we were on the glacier, the tour was very nice. The briefing, however, was long and in a large group. The bus did not drive to the edge of the glacier but stopped at a different parking lot and we had to hike 20 min to the glacier with the large group. By the time we stepped onto the glacier, almost 2h had passed and we had the feeling of not being able to be on the ice at all. When the groups were divided after the first part (according to speed), we looked at two crevasses and a few holes in the ice. There were many opportunities to look around and take photos and the tour is recommended. However, one should not be put off by the first 2h and should be able to hike more than described (it was 4.5 km in the end).
Irina our guide was GREAT! It took long time walking on ground before we got to the glacier. I guess I did not read well the details of the tour. But it was still a good experience and our guide made it even better.
Unique and worthwhile experience! Our guides took great care of us. Would say a must-do experience for anyone traveling to Iceland.
Outstanding experience with this tour. Our guide JP who was from France did great job making it fun and adventures. Make sure to were sturdy ankle hiking boots. That is super important. And be ready for a very long walk. Once on ice it was such a great feeling.

Tour is spectacular. Walking on the majestic glaciers, understanding the size and scale of these in their prime, way they shape landscapes, dangers of crevasses , stunning blues, drinking glacier water, dangers they can unleash with active volcano’s beneath+++ Elizabeth as a guide was excellent and highly recommended to do the tour. It’s relatively easy as there are no strenuous climbs in this and saw grandparents and kids on the tour
We booked the moderate tour and had Kevin as our guide. He is very competent and we felt very safe during the whole experience. I definitely recommend doing the moderate tour. You get an amazing view and get the whole glacier experience. When you go to the gym and do hikes sometimes your fitness level should be sufficient. We had an amazing experience and got some amazing pictures from the top with beautiful weather!
