Geniet samen met ons van het bezoek aan de mooiste middeleeuwse dorpjes van Toscane: Siena en San Gimignano. Bewonder het mooie en prachtige uitzicht rijden in het prachtige Toscaanse platteland. Ontdek het bruisende lokale leven, de kleurrijke aardewerkwinkels en de hoogste touwen van S. Gimignano. In Siena leert u alle geheimen over de beroemde paardenrace “Palio” en het Campo plein. Een speciale begeleide Chianti wijnproeverij en het bezoek aan een beroemd wijndomein wordt voor u gereserveerd.

Het eerste dorp dat u zult bereiken is San Gimignano, met oude middeleeuwse torens om te bekijken en levendige keramische winkels om te bekijken. Je krijgt ook de kans om te genieten van de beste gelato van San Gimignano, op de locatie waar de veelgeprezen "Thee met Mussolini" werd gefilmd. In je vrije tijd zou een andere suggestie zijn om het kleine historische museum van San Gimignano binnen te gaan en te bezoeken, waar de ware reproductie van de XIV-eeuwse toren wordt gehouden. Tussen de twee middeleeuwse dorpen bezoek je een beroemde wijnkelder waar de wijnmaker je kennis laat maken met zijn producten. U krijgt een begeleide bemonstering van de unieke witte Chianti-wijn Vernaccia en de Chianti DOCG, gecombineerd met delicatessen zoals bruschettas met en pecorino-kaas.
Na de wijnproeverij bereiken we Siena, het prachtige middeleeuwse dorp gebouwd tussen de heuvels. Hier zal onze deskundige reisleider u naar het stadscentrum leiden, door de smalle middeleeuwse straatjes totdat we een van de meest opmerkelijke middeleeuwse pleinen van Europa bereiken, de Piazza del Campo, met zijn schelpvormige formatie, kenmerkend voor de oude theaters. Siena heeft ook een van de meest monumentale kathedralen van Italië. Tijdens uw vrije tijd krijgt u de kans om het te bezoeken.

My wife and I were picked up at the time specified and with 3 other couples we headed off for a highly informative and enjoyable day with our host , guide , driver and fountain of all knowledge Luigi . Driving through the Tuscan countryside we were told all about the carerra marble quarries in the mountains all the different trees and the crops that the local farmers grew . We were educated in the history of the local areas that we drove through . First stop was San Gimignano . Luigi gave us all a map of this beautiful medieval town and highlighted a route for us to take and pointed out the most interesting things to see Next we went to a local wine producer for wine tasting which we thoroughly enjoyed. Luigi was telling us about the different wines while we were driving there . We left the place very knowledgeable about the local wine industry. Last place was the beautiful city of Siena which again Luigi gave us prepared maps to help us get around and he accompanied us all up to the main square and told us all about the Palio de Siena . We had plenty of time to wander about by ourselves before we met up at the meeting place . We then drove back to Viareggio. In many years of travelling I must say that Luigi is one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had . So knowledgeable and very funny too . A very friendly guy who is a credit to the tour company. On a very hot day with temperature touching 40 degrees we did this tour and were very impressed, our driver and guide Valery was so friendly with great knowledge of the area and the places we visited. The transport vehicle was very clean and comfortable, we all really enjoyed our day and can highly recommend
Fabulous trip out with our wonderful tour guide and driver Valerie. There were 8 of us altogether on the trip which was a nice amount of people. Valerie was knowledgeable (local girl), chatty, friendly and enthusiastic. Valerie made sure that we were aware of the main streets/ buildings/wine/cheeses of interest. We booked through our hotel but most of our fellow travellers had already booked online before arriving in Italy. Would highly recommend.
We had stayed in Viareggio a couple Of times & had wanted to visit San Gimignano & Siena for a while but it seemed tricky to get there using public transport so decided to take the plunge with a tour. The hotel recommended this company & although they usually start from Lucca they agreed to collect us from our hotel in viareggo. Valeria was our guide & she had an excellent knowledge of the areas and really made it so interesting. We particularity enjoyed the wine tasting. There was enough time in the 2 towns to have a look around & climb some towers too. Would highly recommend this company. Valeria was absolutely fantastic
We had Tania as our guide, she was excellent, very knowledge and warm and friendly. She was great with my young daughter making our trip very memorable.
