Ga met ons mee op een onvergetelijk avontuur terwijl we door het adembenemende Sian Ka'an-reservaat reizen en dezelfde route volgen die de oude Maya's duizenden jaren geleden gebruikten om de Caribische Zee te verbinden met de Muyil-gemeenschap. Terwijl we ons een weg banen door het reservaat, komen we drie grote lagunes tegen - Muyil, Chunyaxche en Capelchen - allemaal verbonden door een netwerk van waterkanalen. En dat is niet alles - in het hart van het reservaat, omringd door kanalen en lagunes, ligt de Maya-tempel van Ixlapak. Deze tempel werd door de Maya's gebruikt als astraal observatorium. Maar de echte magie van deze ervaring komt voort uit de mogelijkheid om te ontspannen en contact te maken met de natuur. Stel je voor dat je door de zoetwaterkanalen zweeft, het koele water je huid voelt strelen en de warme zon op je gezicht voelt. The Sian Ka’an ancient canal tour was an unforgettable experience! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights about the Mayan history and wildlife. Probably the most fun ever! A must. Sounds like a corny experience, but it will be THE thing you remember the best when you go back to whence you came. It won't be around in 20 years as the population grows, so trust me on this one, do it!
The Sian Ka'an Biosphere is a beautiful natural reserve that we should protect from the population growth as you said, hope we can contain the growth and maintain this piece of heaven on earth, we are glad you have a good time .
This was amazing. The guide, Mamo, was the best ever. We were a little confused on what to bring/ when we would change. You should wear a swim suit under your clothes, because you first will boat and do the float. You then will be given your shoes back (consider tennis shoes) and you will walk through the savannah on a bridge back to the boat. You can then change (behind the ruins) or just put your clothes over your suit, and then you do an hour long walk through the jungle. Then you sit to eat - this may have been my favorite meal in Mexico. So delicious. Very worthwhile - will definitely do this again. The float was glorious.

everything about this experience was amazing. sailing through the lagoons and canals, floating along one of the canals, seeing crocodiles and manatees, and swimming at a secluded beach along the coast. our tour guide Pepe was very personable, and incredibly knowledgeable. very unique excursion that you won't want to miss out on!
